Destiny On The Doorstep

We meander along in life, compleating all of the tasks that make life go around. It all seems to be going well until an event changes life in a way which creates an unexpected destiny. I think you can all relate considering current events. Sometimes events that change destiny are negative, laced with trauma. Not every life changing event is so painful. In fact, some of them are wonderful. I remember a night as cold as the tundra, and as moving as a concerto. It was the night I wrote my first song. No I am not a musician, and I didn't get famous, but my destiny changed forever in an amazing way. The connection my soul made that night unleashed other creativities which would change the fabric of my life for the better. Do you remember a moment when your destiny changed for the better in the blink of an eye?

Yeah!!! It's ironic though!! When my ex left me back in 2011, that was the point my life took a good turn .. The pointwhen I realised what power I hold in my face and my attributes!! that was when I started keeping an open mind towards everything and I developed this personality!! Don't you think sometimes bad things happen for the better!!

I am really glad you brought that up. I had that thought, but didn't quite work it in. It is true, sometimes something that seems bad, ends up being really positive for us. The moment we learn our true power and value, is a good day. This isn't an easy day and age to have a solid self confidence. Mine still waivers, I believe that I still have some life changing moments ahead, maybe the next one is my step into that kind of confidence!

Fate is a strange thing. As I get older I come to accept that there are just some things out of my control. How I define myself in those situation matters.

One for me was when I picked up an upright bass at a "bluegrass jam." As a guitarist, I was able to fake it, and I got better and better as an "emergency bassist" at subsequent jams to the point where I now play bass in some bands. I can think of some sad ones too (deaths, relationships that ended but shouldn't have), but I don't want to go there today!

Life if filled with many life-changing destinies. My first was when I went into the military. It was a decision I never regretted because it led me to the family I have now.

Joining the military is a!very respectable life event. I can't imagine how moving an experience like that is. It's the ultimate of commitment. I am glad it lead to great things for you.

I can't think of anything top of my head, but now have a song I wrote going off in my mind and the chorus went like this Be patient my friend God isn't finished with me yet.

There you go, we are all a work in process. Some people have different paths than other. In a world filled with such negative energy, I try to remember to remain aware of positive forces. I believe that is where real opportunity lies.

In life there are many changes, many paths that we follow, some good, some bad.

not really, my life is still the same... or maybe i just didn't notice. Since i am easily distracted by everyday life, work, material stuff... i rarely get the chance to stop and notice the things round me.

At the moment, I can't think of anything. Glad it worked for you.

Life always takes me in different directions, but I never lose my passions.

Maybe that is the key, to never lose passions. Or, to regain them quickly. The passions we hold are such a driving force, aren't they? That's not always easy, even I sometimes feel the temptation to be jaded.
