Our home is near beaches

Our home is near beaches almost 3,000 meters away from home and 10 meters away from the National Highway.Every night I go to roof top and watch the waves and listen to their sounds that are like music to my ears.I feel relaxed. But sad to say, when there is storm,it is scary to look at the sea, horrible height of the waves tossing , dancing and running and waving wildly.

That's great that you live so close to the beaches. This is the life I look forward to. Unfortunately there are no beaches in my city. There are so beaches in another cities nearby. But it is still a loss that the beaches are unavailable here. I think children will like it much more. Besides swimming, they can also have fun to play in the beaches.

@cacay1 Yes, China is a big country. I can only a shirt in Guangzhou, but perhaps you need to wear a big coat in Beijing. It is better for you to check the weather before going there. I had a travel to Jinlin two years ago. And we went there for Wu Song Island. I took many beautiful photos about the snow there. After that, we went to Haerbin and it was also great.

I dream of living near the beach but I dread huge waves. Have you experienced devastation of flood or Tsunami?

You have a choice to avoid those moments when the sea is angry just as we avoid those who lose their temper

It's nice to know a fellow Kagay-anon here in mylot! And it's a coincidence too that you're living a few meters away from the sea because our house is also situated a few meters away from it. However, our house is separated by a sea wall which prevents me from getting the same experience as you do. I agree: life near the beach is both scary and wonderful at the same time. The danger it pose during storms and the tranquility it gives during other times is just surreal.

Sometimes they are soothing but sometimes they have the ability to scare you.

Yes, we had during that Sendong and Pablo storms...so scary beaches were destroyed and trees uprooted, so horrible...but we stayed in a big hotel..
