I know, you are thinking that this is a nonsense question. Of course you can use it to call for help, but this time the story is different. During the horrific attack of Friday in Paris, a young man (Sylvestre) has had his life saved because his cell phone has blocked a piece of shrapnel. The man was outside the stadium when a suicide bomber exploded in front of him. He had just ended a phone call and he still had the phone near the head. The man was lightly injured at the abdomen but his Samsung phone was enough to protect his head from a piece of shrapnel. This man was lucky, unfortunately many other have lost their life.

@LadyDuck It is luck and I also think it was not his time to die , so God protected him in an unusual way.

@LadyDuck This proves that if it is not yet your time to depart, even your cellphone (or any little thing for that matter) could hinder your departure.

@salonga This is true, if he had not the cell phone, he would have tripped and fall on the ground.

Yes, this man was so lucky. Perhaps he should thank to the one who talked with him via the phone, too. I am sorry for the terrorists attrack in Paris. I hope people will get well soon.

I would imagine there are several stories where something like a cell phone saved a life or two. He was lucky for sure.

Oh wow, lucky guy. Apparently this isn't the first time that a cellphone saved someone's life. One time a Nokia phone stopped a bullet from hitting a police officer in Brazil.

So true, the soldiers at front who were saved by an old book or their pocket watch, or the flask of whisky they used to kill the fear.
