Football is for idiots?

I'm not saying i completely agree with the above statement. But it seems to me the majority of rediculously, highly paid footballers out there don't have half an ounce of common sense. I'm not saying their not good at what they do, but is it really fair that these people earn 100x, possibly even 1000x more than people who work in hospitals saving peoples lives or in care homes caring for elderly people who have risked their lives for their country? What do you all think?

Don't know, over here in the UK we have some players who are making 170,000 a week. I don't know about you but i think thats absolutely disgusting.

@SamJest Of course, it's disgusting. But they're products bought and sold by the clubs. You should direct your anger at the clubs.

Footballers dont pay themselves, Teams and clubs do!!! Hate the game, not the player!!! Plus the amount that club spends on the fitness and every thing of the player, it justifies somehow!! Plus they are playing for the pride of their nation only!! Nurses and doctors get paid for what they do, and yes better payment must be there, especially for the military and policemen
