The Bubbs Is Gone

Well, regretfully, it is official now. Bubblews has closed it doors to everyone. I was one the site, took a small break and when I returned, there was a message stating that they are closing their doors. The sad part is that no one can get back in to retrieve their content. Also anyone who has money coming to them, well, that seems as if it will never happen. Sad? Yes. I feel sad, lots of us were loyal to them for all the years they were online. They made some real good changes and they had their downfalls. But even though we saw the writing on the wall, it is still sad that we cannot go to Bubblews ever again.
What bothers me now is my content. Every link of mine that I clicked on, by the way, I kept all the links to all my content on my computer, none of them work anymore. You get that 404 error message. So am I to assume that my content is no longer there? Is it still sitting in Google somewhere? Will I ever get it all back? I don’t know. But all my content is copywritten. The reason I want my content removed is that I want to recycle some of my posts on other sites now. Hopefully I will be able to. Also, let me say this, even though it is a sad day in Bubble land, it is also a relief. Like a weight being removed from my shoulders. I now have more time to spend here. Nice!!!
Underneath I will copy and paste the message from Bubblews. You can read it and know that the run we all had there is now over. Another one bit the dust. But this one seemed to fall hard. That’s my opinion. Long Live MyLot!!!!!
“ Greetings,
After being up and running for almost 3 years now we regrettably need to inform you that we will be shutting Bubblews.com down. The climate for display advertising has drastically changed and made it impossible for us to sustain the business model and operations.
We want to thank everyone that was a part of this journey. We wish you all the very best. “

I wished i'd taken all my content off, but 2800 post would have taken some time. Ok most of it was junk but there was a few things would have like to have kept. I think I do have a lot of it on my computer but not totally sure.

@inertia4 Good idea to do so regardless of whether or not it's good.

@kevin1877uk Right. I am starting to get my content together to post here now. Maybe not all of it, because some of it is dated and don't make any sense now.

It is very sad. How they screwed the people over. How they lied to everyone. I hope that their Sweeble app falls off the planet. I checked it out, it is no better than Instagram. They will not succeed with that either. They should go back to work like regular people. They do not belong in the tech world.

It is very sad it is gone. I do miss the way it was in the early days when we really could make some money.

It pays that i always make my posts in Word first . Then i copy the link when it's finally submitted . Bubblews may be gone with my submitted posts , but i have my copies with me still .
Sad though , that the once great site would suddenly just be gone .

I thought about all of my posts there too and it makes me sad for that reason only. I enjoy my time here and I am glad we have MyLot. =)

I'm very sad Steven, but as you say, we saw it coming. I've got all my posts saved, but I'd like to know the answer as to whether we can use them elsewhere, too. Perhaps we'll have to wait for a certain amount of time, I don't know. I've asked AdrienneJenkins if she knows, as she's well versed in this computer woirld.

Sadly the writing was on the wall from last year! They were extremely rude to their membership. Nice to see you here though!

Thanks, nice seeing you here also. I have been a member of MyLot a long time. This site is way better anyway. I know the writing was on the wall a year ago. But I gave them the benefit of the doubt. I did so because of the entire revamp of the website. And all the promises. But deep down I knew it wasn't going to last. It is a relief that they are gone now.

It's a huge let down for sure. And it all seems so shady -with no effort to be transparent or assist anyone with content. Mistakes happen - if there were legitimate changes in the digital advert market, they should have been more transparent and would have had better support - might even have survived it. too bad character flaws were inflated

It's a relief to some degree and I'm happy I don't feel compelled to pop over there to see what's going on
