Syrian Refugees

The US is not taking in as many Syrian refugees as other Countries and some of our states are refusing to take in any Syrian refugees at all. Some Countries have closed their borders completely to the Syrian refugees. The US is being extremely careful because of the terrorist activities so they are checking out every refugee extensively instead of just taking a persons word who they are. There are some who do not want any Syrian refugees here at all but they have been voted down. Right now it takes about two years before a Syrian refugee is allowed to come here. What do you think about all this?

There can't be so many. Most Syrian refugees come to Germany anyway. They can reach it over land and don't need a ticket for a voyage or a flight.

@destry The average German doesn't feel the strain. The helpers and all people involved officially do.

I do feel sorry for the average German having to take the strain of so many refugees so suddenly.

Most of the refugees come to European countries. Many are trying to reach Germany. European governments are trying to help as much as they can. I feel sorry for all those people who have to quit their country.

@LadyDuck It makes you sick to think they would do this to the country they grew up in and called their home.

I just wish that England and the rest6 of Europe applied such controls instead of fearing criticism more than they fear terrorism.

I think the USA has the right idea, and wish the UK would also follow this!

So, I guess we should just allow the people who have already been hurt the most to drown in the sea. Of course it is a huge problem, and America has this huge ocean as a buffer. Europe is overwhelmed with these people who are being squeezed from both sides. They are expendable to everybody. Thank goodness I wan't born in Syria.

@norcal We can't take in everyone and when you think about it who is it that votes these people into office or never take a stand on anything.

They enter the European union through my country and I can tell you for sure all they want is to get to Germany.
