The Bubblews Death Watch Is Over

I popped by for a visit just hours before the screen of death went up. The writing was on the wall for a very long time. This had to be the most drawn out, ugly, at times comically stupid writing website death I've ever seen.
The payout rate we started out at was not sustainable. I appreciated it at the time though. I made quite a bit of money there and made quite a few friends. I don't begrudge the thirty four plus dollars that expired in the bank with them. Mentally I'd already written it off. Seems like everyone there "lost" a similar amount.
When the wheels started falling off things got weird really fast. Suddenly people weren't getting paid and Arvind started writing eloquently philosophical posts that were supposed to somehow make us feel good. I called them farting flowers and soap bubbles at the time.
I'm amazed that it lasted this long. Deep down I knew their payout rate was ridiculous but I gratefully took it anyway. Honestly when everything looked like it was going well I loved the site and it will be missed.
Making money writing on line in my eyes is a constantly moving target. Sites will come and go. Funny thing is though my friends and I keep finding each other. Let's enjoy MyLot and make it a great site.

MyLot is already a great site, was and always will be. We have to remember that MyLot has been around for a long time. Not like Bubblews or any other site. So, this is the place to be. Arvind is an idiot. Jason, a silent idiot. It is sad that they are gone and I will miss it. But there is a relief that it is gone now. I have more time to spend here and my other sites. So, it will all work out in the long run.

@koopharper I did almost the same thing. Only difference is that I never forgot my account. I joined here many years ago, did not understand how it all worked. I think I stayed away for a few months. then when I came to give it another try, I learned and loved it. I never got rid of my account even when the payments stopped. And now I am glad I never did. I think we all joined Bubblews at that point. But we are all back home now where we belong.

I joined MyLot on another account not long after the site was created. I wasn't real active and between a fried computer and a lack of interest, I lost access to that account. It doesn't exist anymore. I don't remember if I asked them to delete it at one point or not. When I rejoined on this account I understood better how to write here. Enjoyed myself until the payment program got cancelled. I was so happy to see a new one introduced. While there was no payout I did visit now and then. Most of my friends here were spending most of their time on Bubblews and so was I. I'm glad to be back and yes this is a great site. I'd like it to be around forever but part of me has been burned too many times to fall too deeply in love with one particular site.

I remember that when Arvind started those writings, I said to myself that the man needed a psychiatrist. The site was already dying by then.

they never made much sense nor had they a nything to do with the site at all. I wonder now if it was a s moke sc reen and the fact that Jasons dad a very wealthyman was the one who bankrolled the site so now what does he think I doubt if he cares either about all the writers who have to l eave now.
I am glad I am back on the new m ylot Im an old m ylotter from the f irst m ylot. I lost all respect for @arv ind after a few ofthose writings of his.

@Hatley Me too. Arvind was either bluffing or he had a sort of delirium.

Lol. I couldn't believe people spent so much time praising his rambling posts. You thought he needed a psychiatrist but I wasn't giving him that much credit. I thought they were a smoke screen.

No it wasn't a very pretty way to end it. Hope none of us get to go through that ever again.

I guessed it was doomed on new year's eve when the frequent payments stopped - that the site went on until now is astonishing

Don't know what motivated them to let it linger on this long.

Glad you're enjoying it here. What was lost at Bubblews is sad but the future is good.

@koopharper when i left bubblews, i have no plans of returning there--like wrting one more. though i read comments from my last article of how am i doing, tempted to answer them, but i didn't. the only regret that i have is, i should have told my connections how am doing even just with replying to their comments.
now i am looking forward here, maybe i will stumble with some friends here too

@Lucky15 If your friends have the same writing goals you do, chances are you will all eventually gather in the same place. That's been my experience. Just try to use the same or similar usernames. Makes you easier to find.

I'm glad I didn't cancel my account here too. Makes coming back a whole lot easier. Bubblews paid me a whole lot more than twice. I was getting a regular monthly payout even when they upped the payout amount to fifty bucks. Then the wheels fell off.

I do not expect to make a lot of money here, but that's okay. As long as I get paid, and enjoy writing and making connections, I will be here. Bubblews was going down hill for two years.

I logged into Bubblews this morning and they were gone. I wish I could get my articles back. I had over 3000 there. I have submitted to Trioind for years. They keep hanging on even if the pay is terrible. I went to Bubblews because it was easier to connect with the other writers. Hope things work out her at mylot. It seems good so far.

A lot of writers had a lot of material on the site. If they didn't have back up copies it was hard to recover it from the site itself. I had somewhat less to retrieve and pulled most of the good ones off before the closed. This is a great site. Be careful to follow the rules and you should never have a problem.

It was just so hard for me to leave our friends in Bubblews . . . A cent for a post was not worth our precious time and effort . .
