New on MyLot. Someone doesn't understand

So, I'm new here and determined to have fun doing what I enjoy. I build furniture in my shop so my buddy doesn't understand that I'm sitting here in front of this computer for a purpose. Does anybody else have the problem of a pet looking all pathetic while You're trying to work?

Our cat only comes in occasionally. But he immediately walks on the laptop and tries to push the lid closed.

I like some of these older posts @paigea It seems to take cats a lot longer to get used to new situations than it does dogs.

@rebelann He is very pushy. Funny to read this old comment. Kitty spends a lot of time in the house now. He will sit on my lap for quite a while. 5 years ago, he was still getting used to us.

That he is. And much too high energy to be hanging with me during these times. I'll have to find him an outlet to keep him busy

Ours are used to it because I've been doing work from computers for some time. My family on the other hand has yet to grasp the concept that you do not have to leave the house and drive miles away to another building to have a 'real job". It has been a real challenge getting them to understand.

Preiti is a great one for that. She just does not like me sitting here. She has her own ways to get me out of here. I love her though. She is a great watch dog and a great companion

Just make sure he's prepared to lose a lot of attention. I hope he won't be jealous or anything. MyLot has a way of doing that to pets.

Yes, this is a real problem for Princess, except that she knows which drawer in the desk holds kitty treats. She just wants to open the drawer herself.

When it gets to be about 9:30pm, the guinea pigs start squeaking at me to remind me that I need to top up their food and give them their nightly carrot before I go to bed. They absolutely haunt me.

Pets always beed attention my parrot screams in morning unless i visit and talk to him.
