Content is critical so listen up

The idea that content is king has been floated to online writers for years. Now, it is critical that writers receive the message and adjust accordingly. Internet savvy users don't want to waste time on irrelevant articles or those with misleading headlines.
Content sites across the internet have shut down. Some companies have closed due, in part, to decisions that alienated writers and readers. Unfortunately, other companies can blame poor, unengaging content that doesn't inspire repeat readership.
Writers are only as good as the next article that is produced. Creating good content helps us develop a lasting readership that we need to have to thrive online. Creating sloppy articles isn't an option any longer.
Content is King. We all need to listen, learn and adapt to what the King is saying. Our future, and that of any site where we choose to write, depends on how well we learn from the mistakes of poorly formed content and move forward.

The connection you make between writing good content and how it helps us maintain relationships is a great on! I was just asking myself last night, "Is content still king, or are relationships more important?" Maybe the answer is what you said, good content that develops relationships with the reader is king.

Content comes first. The relationship is what makes people follow you on social media etc. So yes, I think it's a combination.

@gaylesglimpses it is a trick balancing those two parts. The times I have done it with success shed light on territory close to balance. However, its either fleeting, or in a narrow focus. This is when I wish I could add some ram to my brain.

I could not be more in agreement. Now, to convince a few others and the internet will be better off.

She is relating more to actual writing sites...this isn't a writing site it's more a social blog with a few pennies.

Writing sites are getting few and far between. Glad I have a 'steady gig'...with someone!
