Time to watch again Gran Torino. A day to think about prejudice.

I have been reading here today all sorts of posts against refugees, against asian people, against muslims. Not all of the posts say it as I do. Many just mention that there´s a sign that reads "BEWARE" in their minds. It is a pity that the action of a few very insane and absolutly fanatic people can lead normal people to shut their doors and their hearts to people that are as worthy of help as our forefathers were when they came to this new world. Gran Torino is a film that deals with prejudice. It is a wonderful film as most of the films directed and starred by Clint Eastwood. I suggest that you check online or at Netflix to watch it. And then think for a while, as I am thinking, whether it is fair to blame millions of homeless people with no country, living in a place that doesn´t welcome them, looking and speaking different for what a bunch of crazy people did.

Well, I never watched "Gran Torrino," so that reference is totally lost on me, but I do feel for the refugees, who are the ones who will suffer most from the terrible events in Paris, and who have already suffered the most from the Islamic terrorists.

If you haven´t watched the movie and you like Clint Eastwood, I would recomend it highly. I agree with you: the refugees will suffer the most.

@norcal Then don´t watch it! There is also a movie by Chaplin. A little bit old, but it is still worth watching. It is called The great Dictator

Most of the people in this world are innocent perple paying for the evil doings of the few who have the power and want more. They don´t fight for any God but for themselves.

I am that rarity--I don't like Eastwood's films! Right now refugees from and to all countries than ever in the history of the world--it is a big problem that has to be addressed by ALL the leaders of the countries.

The question is why they are refugees.
