When I watch the foreign movies, I often see that the foreigners don't like eating tofu. Tofu is a very common food here and we will have it often. Perhaps this is the diet difference, I don't find tofu tastes bad. If you don't like eating tofu, would you tell me what's wrong with its flavor?

I like tofu! But it could just mean foreigners aren't used to eating tofu.

It's gross. Don't care for weird tasting cheeses either. That is what it tastes like to me. Some cheese they processed wrong.

I grew up with tofu, so tofu has always been around. Tofu is sort of bland and it goes well with strong flavors - I've always had it in miso soup or tofu/meat dishes. People just aren't used to things they are not familiar with.

Yes, in my country tofu is common food and most of people consume it, even almost everyday I buy it for some kind of cuisines. I think there is no strange taste with tofu, but I don't know if the foreigners feel tofu is tasteless.

I rarely ate tofu, maybe the reason why Im not fond of it because it's not around in my neighborhood. if it was being sold to the market or some food kiosk out there, then i would be have a like to the food.

If you cook this right it is delicious. I think some people forget to press it before they cook it and or to soak it before they cook it. If you can get the hang of this then it is delicious and so good for you. I don't eat a lot of tofu because too much soy is not always that good for you.

@youless That is very interesting and I had no idea about this. I just learned something new about tofu that I never knew before. I am allergic to milk so I was raised on soy. Maybe that is why I like it and I do eat it once a week or twice a month. I like the firm better than the soft.

I tried it once and never again. Besides the awful taste and texture, it has no nutritional value so I wouldnt eat it even if it were free

It doesn't seem to have much flavour on its' own but with a bit of ginger and garlic it can be nice
