Lack of sleep...

Last night, the weather is very hot. Rain does not fall again. My little child was difficult to sleep under fan. She often woke up and ask milk for drink, she looks thirsty and sweaty, so I have to woke up again and again. It make me lack of sleep, I get headache in the morning because of the situation...Finally, I go to bed again when all the people go for work at 8 am...
What do you do when you are lack of sleep? Go to bed again or get rid of your sleepiness by drink a coffee or consume something to reduce your sleepiness?

Lack of sleep is becoming very common to me now, I can no longer sleep past 6 am anymore, even on weekends. Thats if I am lucky. I normally just get up and face what the day has to offer me.

It is good, if you can wake up in the nomal time ( 6 am) though you are lack of sleep. I think I can't do it. When I lack of sleep, I get headache when I do not add my time of sleep. Yes, it is not good, sleep in the morning but I can do anything but sleep again and again...

@Castlerock34 Yes, caffeine can help us stay awake longer. I also drink coffee when I am really need to awake for a certain purpose.

@srisahara Then I normally load up on caffeine when I wake up, which is not the best thing to do but hey I can stay awake for a bit longer

Yes, in the past when I was worked in a private company, I also get rid of sleepy by drinking coffee, it helps us reduce feeling want to sleep...Now, I can sleep again when lack of sleep because I am stay at home throughout the day...

@youless Yes, taking care a little child though simple but it is very tiring work, I often lack of sleep when my little child difficult to get sleep well. I hope she will behave well...

I usually stay in bed. I don't like getting up at night..sooner or later I know I will fall asleep if I get up I usually just take an asprin or drink some water.

Me too. When I suffer lack of sleep I will goo to bed again in the morning or take an aspirin. It will help better.

It depends on the day and what's gong on as to what to do. If I have to go to work and get the kids going then it's some caffinated soda or coffee to get me thru the morning until I get into the swing of things. I don't have the luxury like when my kids were smaller and I wasn't working to just go back to sleep when I please because most of the time I had no where to go.

Yes, at this moment I also do not go any where. I always stay at home for looking after my toddler. When I have lack of sleep then I will go back to the bed to take additional of sleep. It is a pleasure time and silly, where most of people go for work I am go for sleep....

in here too, the weather is hot. I am only having a problem that i always sleeps. Any remedy to stop sleeping?

Drink much coffee or an energy drink...I guarantee you will awake throughout the day or throughout the night...

@srisahara Coffee cant be a energy drink. Because energy drinks contains TAURINE which is otherwise known as bulls sperm @wiLLmah! Be aware next time.

I would suggest you to force yourself to take a little nap in the afternoon, even if you think you don't have time for that. Find it. You will thank me

I've been through too many bouts of sleepiness. Sometimes I just move around a little bit and drink some water.

Last night, it was cold here in Southern California! For me, what helps me go to sleep is watching a show on my iPhone in bed whether it may be on Youtube, Hulu or Netflix. By looking at the small screen it'll make my eyes strain and I become tired very easily.

I never do it. Sometime I hear some reading of Al-Qur'an ( I am a moslem) in my hand phone, when I feel full of sleepy, I will turn it off and start to sleep.

Yes, you are right, some mom will do depends on the situation, whether sleep again or stay awake with the different reasons. For me, I will go to sleep again to prevent headache.

@srisahara have you tried putting a table, a large bowl and couple of ice packs and put it at the front of the fan. I did that and it felt a bit cold to the point were i got to sleep after a couple of minutes. the fan just directs the wind wether hot or cold.

Yes, actually it is not good sleep in the morning, we should take a nap in the afternoon, but I can't wait until afternoon...I am so sleepy...

Me too, sometime I drink an energy drink to make me awake when it is really on emergency condition such as I was on work or on the way which need for me to awake. But, I usually drink coffee to help me awake.

First of all You are a great Mom who is sacrificing her comfort for her children, Next i think one should get his full sleep of atleast 6 hours
if you cant get it at night, Try it during days
Because if you are healthy, only then you can keep your children healthy and happy

Yes, you are right, take a nap will help us from lack of sleep in the night and prevent us from headache. Actually, it does not matter when we will take a sleep in the night or in the day, as long as we have at least 6 hours of sleep in one day.

Perhaps you could put a damp towel on your child's forehead next time they are having trouble sleeping because of the heat. It should
help keep their body temperature at a normal rate.
I do not get as tired as others do, but when I do need a nap, I take one.
