APEC Accomplishment

Christmas is around the corner

I feel silly posting the picture because I may be the first one here who has already started putting up Christmas decorations. But I have a four-day break from work because Manila is hosting this year's APEC Summit. For the information of everybody, our government cancelled work today till Friday to ease up our monstrous traffic situation to give way to the APEC activities. Instead of fixing our transportation woes, the government just let the businesses incur losses and government offices to shut down so we can project our image in Asia and the Pacific. I may not be able to get a long break again so I might as well put up the Christmas Tree and other decors. Plus, I really don't have much to do and I don't want to spend the day sleeping. I can't be online the whole day, too, because I am not allowed to do so at home. I wonder what I'm gonna do tomorrow. Aside from hooking up with your computer, what do you normally do on long holidays?

@yalul070 well, that is okay for me because I have just my son and sister here, no husband. I can stay online provided I have no household chores and I am done with my work in the hospital and school

@yalul070 Please don't over decorate. Too much of a good thing becomes not such a good thing.

THey're incompetent, they just don't realize how many people that would get affected by the additional holidays they're putting in. Richard Gordon already suggested rerouting other passengers to other airports like Subic Clark or somewhere else inthe country but they just didn't wanna listen or so busy with the sneaky bullet investigation

Many countries go to great lengths to show a good face to other nations. At least you have a holiday.

yeah many of our fellow countrymen are questioning what we'll really get from all these. although i appreciate the holiday, i can't ignore the cries of those who were severely affected by the stoppage of work and traffic.

@yalul070 Mostly, the government doesn't listen to the ordinary citizen. They are more concerned with their image.
