How do you chose the clothes you buy?

I like to find clothes that are not very expensive and there are certain types I prefer. I know jeans are very practical, but generally I do not care for them. I like things that are soft and stretchy mostly. Most of my pants have drawstring waists.
I do have some work pants that are broadcloth and have belts and pockets. Gotta have pockets.
I like bright colors as well. I always have. My daughter prefers neutrals.
I do not like turtle necks. Sometimes even crew necks feel too tight. I have to be careful not to get scoop necks or V necks that are too low, though.
I know around the world some of what we wear is custom, some is choice within the customs. How particular are you on what you wear?

In summer I wear t-shirts and jean shorts in winter I wear t-shirts and jeans. Sneakers or barefoot. Nothing tight or restricting. Comfort is the word of the decade.

@GardenGerty The pants have to be stretchy and comfy and when at home I mostly wear old comfy clothes. When I go out in the winter it is mostly in pull on pants. Haven't been to a clothing store in ages.

I prefer loose Clothes if I am not going anywhere I stay in Lounge Clothes lol which is a fancy Name for Fancy PJ's I will not buy expensive either I can not wear Jumpers or anything long Sleeves or is up to the Neck as I feel I am being strangled .... when I go anywhere again it is loose as I have been told nothing tight and if possible waistband because I suffer with Diverticulitis and Hiatus Hernia but I do prefer the Neutral Colours too lol

If I never had to do anything physical I would wear long flowing dresses or gowns. I wear bright colors almost always.

I am with you with the not too high necks. I cannot breathe. Skirts are a nice looking and comfortable option.

I don't buy too expensive clothes as well. Most of the time I wait for mall sale, or wait for discount code if purchasing online. I like clothes that are made of cotton since it is comfortable to wear. I'm from Asia and it tends to get real hot in here and cotton does absorb sweat. I do get my husband's opinion often before purchasing since he has good taste in clothing.

I would find cotton and loose fitting things to be comfy if I lived where you are. I wear clothes like that in the summer here.

How do I choose the clothes I buy? First off, it depends on the clothing article and I look for a quality brand but for an affordable price.
When it comes to jeans - I want something trendy, practical (stretchy), not too long and the material will last long.
When it comes to shirts/tees - I always go toward dark colors like black/gray or light colors like white because they're simple and will match easily.
As for other items like a more fancier tank or dress, I like to incorporate lace!
Overall: I like neutral colors but occasionally a bright color is fun! You'll catch me wearing yoga pants/leggings and gym clothes mainly though!

I do wear mostly soft stretchy things like yoga pants for every day. I will wear slacks and jeans for rugged work. I do not have to worry about things being too long. I am a person who spills too much so I avoid white tops and pastel. Love love love lace.

I love clothes shopping and do it often. I get a lot of compliments on the way that I dress. I prefer to be a bit dressy, and like dress pants and blouses or mock turtle necks over jeans and sweatshirts. I favour navy, greys, blacks and browns at this time of the year.

While you like pockets, I tend to avoid them. I also love turtlenecks....clearly, we could never share clothes, lol.

It sounds like it. I think with turtle necks you either love or hate them, no middle ground.

Being an INDIAN I prefer the comfortable dresses like kurta ,suit and other which I like the most as we can not put on the very short dress or the tight jeans always. We wear according to the weather as in winter we wear woolens like shawls , caps ,trousers ,sweater, stalls and so on.

I have seen many lovely Indian women and admire their bright and feminine appearance. In the very cold weather here i seldom see Indian women.

I hate shopping for clothes I put on a lot of weight having my little boy and now find everything I used to wear looks awful. I do wear jeans but only smart dark ones. I like floaty tops and I wear a lot of dresses and leggings (but not leggings as trousers only under a dress that's at least halfway to my knee). I have quite a long torso and am quite large chested so I always find it difficult to find tops long enough. I sometimes end up wearing what are meant to be short dresses as tops x

I definitely know that some dresses look more like long tops for me. I put on a lot of weight over the years and I feel sad when I see pictures, because I am about eighty pounds heavier.

I am really not too picky. Right now I don't have a choice but to wear maternity clothes, but usually I just wear jeans and a nice shirt. I am super comfy in jeans. =)
