Big wind storm with 80% chance of rain

Most of the US is having pretty severe weather from snow storms, high winds, rain, flooding and tornadoes! I am grateful I have a place that is above street level as last night I had to turn around and go another route to my place as a street was flooded. Some idiots drive through the 8 to 12" of water like weeee this is fun, phhhht til the car engine dies, and they are stupid to risk it and ruin their vehicles. I know what streets to avoid and stay in during times like this is I can. If I must go out I head UP the hill since water runs downhill.

I sat and shivered in my double wide but made it through fine. I saw on the news that some semi trucks were blown over on their sides- that news stopped me and made me think.

@JustEmm My hubby happened to be quite ill the night we had 70 mile an hour winds. Horrible for him and yet a blessing for me. If he had been well enough to work I would have had to drive out on the freaky roads to get him from a bus stop.

@JustEmm He happened to be in the hospital. I have been goose bumped way too often by awful roads but his landing in the hospital really was a horror movie I do not want to participate in again.

You would think most people get it but they don't. We had flash flooding here in our apartment complex and I was surprised to see so many people speeding through the water which was waist deep in places.

@JustEmm I'm not looking forward to winter this year if we get any snow. These same crazy people will be out on the roads.

@simone10 We had our first heavy frost Friday night up in the higher elevations, it was so pretty! I did not like having to worry about driving down a steep road after dark since lack ice is there, IMO batter (slow driving) safe than sorry.

Its crazy out where I live right now. Winds blowing from 40 miles an hour and way higher. Not super cold but dangerous for driving due to the winds and dust. Total mayhem out there.

Some years it seems we get stormy fall and winters a bit early and nearly horrific, the results is it even changes the landscape, stay safe what ever you do.
