The Maze Runner is by James Dashner. It is the first book of the four book series. I listened to the audiobook of the book. Like I said yesterday I liked the book better than the movie. The Maze Runner is about a boy named Thomas finds out that he and other boys are trapped near a huge maze. About a day later a girl shows up near the maze. She knows Thomas and they end up being their ticket out of the maze. As promised the differences between the book and movie: The main difference is that Thomas doesn't have dreams about his past in the book. He doesn't know what happened to them when they were little until he takes the serum. Another difference is that in the book they had already the serum that counteracted the stringing of the monsters in the maze. I think the serum is what cause them to go crazy. Another difference is that in the book Thomas and Teresa could talk telepathically to each other. This is what makes them different from the others. Another difference is that in the book the mazes told a code of words which was a computer code. Teresa puts in the code in the computer. Another difference is that in the book the way out was in a square of the cliff of the maze. When they got out scientists was there, but no one told them what was going on until they got rescued. I will be listening to the second book. Right now there are 14 people ahead of me so it will take some time to get it. Also I plan on watching the second movie when I get to listen to the second book.

As you have detailed the differences I understand that Teresa had more of a role than shown in the movie. The telepathic conversation should have been there.

I only watched the movie and I have been meaning to purchase the book and read it. Audio books could be helpful in our busy schedules but i still prefer sitting down and reading the book since I can understand it better. I always liked books more than their movie equivalent since it is descriptive and full of the plot intended by the writer. I loved the Harry Potter book series, the Inheritance series, instead of their movies. Thanks for the short review you shared to us. Now I will start reading the books. Kudos~!

It sounds like a really interesting book. I've not heard of it or the movie but it's something I would really be interested in checking out.
