Standing in a elevator with someone is the most awkward thing.
Why is it when you enter a elevator either full of people or just one other person that everyone looks down at the floor? No one dares to look up at you or at anyone else, why is that?
I have tried to break the cycle by looking at the people I am in the elevator with and they either give me an awkward glance or they continue to look down at the floor as if it were a TV show the didn't want to miss a single part.. lol

I know exactly what you mean about looking at the floor - and I love the photo you have put with this!

@Castlerock34 Yep, I thought this would have been about some time that you got caught doing what is talked about in the song. I was afraid I would have to confess to something I wanted to keep private.

I know right? I like Aerosmith so I figured it would be appropriate since I used the title of one of their songs :-)

@TimBurWrites Haha that is pretty funny. I actually am surprised I didn't get a confession or two on here. Let me tell you I have always wanted to try that for sure :-)

You should find a way to have fun on the elevator. Like when you first get on, and as soon as the door closes, look at everyone and say, "Now that I have your attention, let me tell you..." and then start talking about something completely off the wall. Or, as soon as the door opens when you reach your floor, and as your stepping out of the elevator, wave your hand back and forth in front of your nose and say "Wow, I'm glad I don't have to smell that anymore! Someone needs to check their underwear!" and then walk away!

@moffittjc I do enjoy a little Aerosmith in my day. I was in Orlando and I stayed at the Hard Rock hotel and they had some cool stuff in there from Aerosmith

@Castlerock34 Over here is England. It was in an office building, coming back from buying my lunch. We got stuck between the third and fourth floors. We were stuck for over an hour and I was hungry. The lady with me had no food so I offered to share and we sat on the floor and had a picnic

@ison_1 Awe isn't that sweet!!! I would of gone mad if I ever got stuck in an elevator. I don't do well in enclosed spaces and especially ig there is no way out.

Hahaha I must be mad, I just think it is so uncomfortable to have to walk into an elevator and everyone is looking down and no one will look at you. Its the longest 10 seconds of my life

@BethieAnnie Maybe I should try that. It would be good to film the reactions.
I had this idea to put a very realistic picture of an elevator shaft (viewed from above) on an elevator floor. Cover it over with a false sliding floor then slowly start to slide the false floor back as the elevator goes up. Cue panic!!!

@Castlerock34 I talk to people in elevators sometimes. Like just tell a random joke. Most people will be running from the elevator by the time you reach your destination.

@Castlerock34 Elevators are notorious for silence, along with city buses. The ride of the unknowns.

Thanks, I really like it to. I have never seen this album cover which is odd. I might have to come up with something witty to say to maybe break that awkward silence ;-)

@Bluedoll I don't understand why there is such silence on city buses. Most of the population makes them selves so unapproachable. Just smile life is short meet as many people as you can

I'm guilty of looking down at the floor in elevators. It's because I'm shy.

I guess it has to do with personal space or something along that line. Something primal. Closed in space, feeling trapped together with someone you don't no. Personally I always take the stairs if pos.

I am very claustrophobic as well, so when the elevator is packed to the gills I avoid it at all costs.

@antonbunot Uhm YES! I always think to myself I hope they don't think I did it. Theres also times where I did do it right before I had to get off and I would leave the elevator chuckling ;-)

I don't know why people seem to be so unconformable in an elevator but I have noticed it myself. I love the photo. I am a huge Aerosmith fan.

It is because people tend to guard themselves from external influences or threats. We have four parts of our psychological space. Intimate, personal, Social and public space. And in elevators our intimate space gets replaced by unkown people which is actually meant for close freinds or family. Even people tend to stand in corner more than at the center of elevators. Funny right?
