Some things get harder with age...

... while. I believe , it is the opposite for others. When I was really active and here every day a few years ago, it was so easy to go flitting from one place to another. Not now though and I am not sure whether it is due to the layout being different or whether it is because I have not been busy online for several months. I need time to catch up, unlike before. I have to check for spelling mistakes, unlike before. I have problems keeping up with notifiers, unlike before. So maybe it is best that, until the weekend, I just catch up and poke around, looking for all of the friends that I know are here somewhere but I have been unable to find so far. Have you started using 'age' as an excuse for not doing something or for doing it differently compared to how you did it before?

Nope I can't use that one yet but I am pregnant so I do blame some things on "pregnancy brain". Lol.

Oh congratulations! I am not sure but I think I have lost count of how many children you have now - not because of my age but because we have not been in touch for so long.

Yes Diana, I am starting using my age as an excuse, but it's not an excuse, I feel that am slower that a few years ago.

I am absolutely definately getting slower. Some of it is because, now that I can, I refuse to rush around like before when I was working and was doing too many things in a day but a lot is due to the fact that I really am becoming slower now Maybe coming back online will be great exercise !

@mysdianait I have to say that it's hard to keep updated with the notifications, the new discussions and everything.

Oh, not yet. But I was successful in making some people believe that I have got that rare ailment - in which people age rapidly. They would believe if I blame my failing memory on my age! I think you will be on your skates pretty soon. Rushing through the discussions comes to you easily. No extra efforts needed. :)

How about your non-familiarity of this site at the moment being the culprit. I will not blame it on age... as you are not new to many of us. When I need to run and the knee pain or the Arthritis will not allow me to... I would want to look like some great Actor, but I cannot have the 6-pack Abs like him... I will blame it on age for sure

It's definitely the new layout - took me a while to get used to it and yuki even had to show me how to find the pencil...

I found the pencil pretty quickly but I am having difficulty with the notifactions at the moment. They keep reappearing after I delete them which means wasted time to remove them again.

Trying to use my ago as an excuse would not work for me because most people know that I have been useless all my life.

@mysdianait I rest my case Diana. I obviously cannot get away with claiming that my silly answer is a result of my age.

Undeniable that age is the culprit. Everything tend to rush down at each passing year .Not only our movements slowing down but our brain juices just refuse to flow.

If anything, I am sure feeling the "aging process" more than before - or I at least think about it a lot and have my concerns - as if time is running out (well, in a sense it is)! As far as how it goes with my online stuff, I know: my eyes are going, I'm making more stupid errors, I can't remember what I was "going" to do, the right words are at the tip of my tongue and seem to stay there . . . boy, this age thing is getting to me!

as one of the rules of love, age doesn't matter. so i think it goes to other aspects as well. but that's just what i think. now that i am 30, and getting older year after year, i can say it as an excuse for forgetting something or not being able to walk long miles due to aching knees. and soon, i will be having more excuses on things i cannot do because i have aged.

it depend on us how we feel an strong if you aim something then age doesn't matter but your thinking and efforts matter.if you think positive then you do any work at 67 but if you not show effort then you not do any work even at 25.

Dearest, Age is responsible for everything that comes along my day, except when I do something worth of applauding My memory is no more (except for the trivia I remember from long time ago). My only demonstrance of wisdom is that I don´t really care. So I don´t have any problems really nor feelings of guilt

I know what you mean, as I use my age for not doing things too. I have found that as I get older, it does become harder to do things, as my body just isn't like it should be, and I have aches and pains where I didn't know I could get them. Don't feel bad, as i just don't do all that much myself. When I raked the leaves, it was hard as my back really hurt, but I did get them done, it just took longer is all.

I got into online activity when I was already a senior. so I really do not know if I would have done a better job if I was younger
