Posting Articles & Videos in Discussions

Several of the discussions I want to comment on include videos and/or articles. Try as I might I cannot seem to figure out how to post these in my discussions and comments. Simply adding the link to the discussion does not seem to bring it up as it does on other Internet sites. I do not see an option in the myLot code and the only other selection is to add image that is uploaded from one's computer. Is there anyone else having problem with this? Can someone please advise as to how it is done?

If you would like please do a search on my name. I did an article on this one to teach people how to do this. It was a few weeks back but I am sure you could easily find this in my discussion. I have some on how large the image should be and one on how to insert multiple images on the site. This might help you understand this one quicker.

Thank you..will look for it. Spent some time last night looking for instructions. Generally, I am pretty savvy with computers and social sites. I would put the link in and nothing. Never occurred to me to just refresh the page.

If you copy the URL you can paste it into the comment. It's worked for me so far.

I have never had reason to add external links to either articles or video here, but I would assume that the full URL is all that is required.

I usually type the full URL from the video and it usually works for me.

Yes, thank you. I wasn't seeing it and thought it was not working, but when refreshing the page it showed up properly.

@sugartoes I was copying & pasting the article/videos in but they were not automatically appearing as other sites, thus I thought there must be a secret..lol. When someone suggested to refresh the page then it showed up and works every time..Who knew the secret was so simple..lol

This is true. Fortunately, in this case once I refreshed the page it worked. There are some links that won't work though. If it is a video I always make sure to use the link under the share function instead of the web page.

Copy the http link and paste. . . refresh your page and it is done!

I thought you just add the link of the site or video to the post. This is in part correct, but in order for you to see it you must then refresh the page. Who knew you needed a sneaky trick :)
