Former 2010 Triond User Here - Hello myLot

As the title says, I came from a user-generated content writing site called Triond. I started there in mid-2010, the site was doing well at the time, but then a number of issues happened: users found exploits and abused them, Google updates pretty much killed Triond's network of sites in search results which dropped article views, and lack of human moderation populated Triond's sites mostly with junk/spam to name a few problems. I left in 2011 to pursue other online ventures, and now looking back at that site recently it is certainly not what it was. Maybe I'll share my story here sometime. Heard about MyLot relaunching, so thought I'd give it a try. Seems nice so far.

Hi welcome to mylot...I have been a member of Triond since 2008 and received several payments since they pay after you reach 50 cents...But I feel it is the worst site for making money.I have not submitted any article after 2011 and receive payments once in a while for my old articles

@Xstrike Yes it was good when the contests were on but even then the earning was not much unless you had a few hundred articles submitted and the total views added up..

Me too, except I get occasional payments like once a year. The writing contests they used to do was nice for a boost in earnings, but looks like they stopped doing those years ago when visitors dropped. The writers who did contribute quality over quantity though were nice, fun times.

Welcome to myLot! I know Triond, I was thinking to register at one point when Knoji started having issues but never got around to it. Hope you'll have a great time here.

Thank you. Yeah, I'd suggest staying away from Triond, it's certainly not what it used to be. It's pretty spammed up now even more than it was. It still pays out, but reaching the minimum threshold of only $0.50 is rather difficult now without big traffic sources.

@Xstrike Yeah at the moment I'm just happy being active here. I registered on another site but hardly have the time to write there.
