I am tired of all the negativity in the world, that's why I am doing this kind of discussions. Just came across a wonderful video where a cardiologist used 3-D printing to help him replace a faulty heart valve. I just wished I had this done 2 years ago instead of having to go through Open Heart Surgery. It would have been a lot easier on my body.
Last summer, after a long career as a successful entrepreneur and a brief retirement, Richard Whitaker was helping to start another new company. Unfortunatel...

Marie, I actually saw this some time ago, and put it on the back burner (as you do) to do a post on, so well done you for doing it... even if it is with some regret, that you weren't aware of it or it wasn't then available to help you,it must be of interest to some also in your situation... good post!

@marlina Poor you, bit like buying something in a shop... and the next week you find they've reduced it to half price, grrr.... life's all about timing I guess, something I always get wrong... never mind you are here to cheer us all up now, so they did a good job for you..

How much time do you spend on the Internet every day? I've set a limit for myself because there is too much out in the world for me to see and do. I find more and more people are spending more and more time in front of a screen instead of interacting with neighbors, friends, family, etc., and at 80 years of age it bothers me.

@GreatMartin, I come and work at my computer between my other tasks during the day. I don't really keep track of the time I spend on the internet every day.

oh that's cool! I wondered when this would start getting used for medical stuff, like inside the body stuff, not just limbs and the like

Wow, 3D printing itself is already an interesting technology but using it for this purpose is even more amazing. I guess with technology the possibilities are endless.

My computer isn't allowing videos again today. I have heard of 3D printing and I think it's great if it's helping in heart surgery.

With all the ugliness and stupidity in this world there is only one way to fight back and that's be positive and create wonderful things. Teach people, give people attention, don't be greedy and don't tell other people what to do. (political leaders and lawyers are very good at that. never trust them...;-) So, yes Marie it's a good initiative to show a different world. different headlines.
