Mourning Bubblews

I must admit, I didn't use Bubblews as often as I should have for the results I was hoping to receive. However, I was slowly and surely making my way towards the cash out admit. In fact, I only needed about four more dollars to do so. Of course, making money on there was much harder than it used to be. The site had its quirks, but I always viewed it as a way to get my creative writing out there and make money doing it.
Now that the site is officially closed, it would suffice to say that I am very upset. Not only had I made over forty dollars that was never compensated, but all my writing that was posted on the site is now deleted- never to be seen again. This is very, very disappointing to me. Most things I posted on Bubblews were little poems that I usually wrote up in a day or two, but that doesn't mean that they didn't have any meaning to me. Those poems were something I was very proud of and I am very sad to see them gone.
I know most users on here did not have a good experience with Bubblews- how do you guys feel about the site closing done?

I made some decent money there writing fluff. In the early days, I put my heart into writing there, but once I realized they were shady, I deleted my better posts and limited myself mostly to "what I did yesterday that was kind of interesting" posts. I'm one of the lucky ones. I'm only owed about $200.

@TheHorse There was a friend at Bubblews who depended a lot on the earnings from Bubblews. She used the earnings for her son's schooling expenses and other things. I don't think she ever had any missing redemptions. Perhaps because she's always praising Arvind and always wrote posts idolizing him. It must hit her pretty hard when Bubblews shut down. I haven't managed to contact her outside of Bubblews.

@shivamani10 I don't think there will be another site like Bubblews. Too many lessons have been/need to be learned about how they dealt with issues

I removed all my creative writing from the site a month ago. i had just about made up my mind to remove the rest of the posts, as I expected them to close down. They have owed me $50 since June and I had another $20 in my bank. You would never have received your money even if you made it to $50. I am sorry you lost your poetry. But throw those emotions into your pen and write some more

Not surprised that the site burst like that. So sorry, you weren't able to keep back-ups of your work.
Haven't been using the site for a long time. I'm sad that I won't be able to see and talk to my friends form that site. That's about it.

By the time they closed it really didn't bother me that much. I'd seen the writing on the wall and I wasn't making enough on the site to make another payout. I retrieved most of my work. I got lazy though because with a little more effort I could have easily retrieved everything.

Honestly, when it first happened I was somewhat angry at how they did it. I was actually on the site when it happened. But now, I am relieved. I am actually happy that it is gone. All the stress and wondering about what if is all over now. As for my content, well, I have copies of all my stuff on my computer. So, I can repost it now and more people can enjoy it.

@shivamani10 What? I am not sending my content anywhere. It is mine to repost. I never just gave away anything like that. If you want to read some of my content then just check out my profile. And besides, all my content is copy-written, No one has the rights to it but me.

It breaks my heart a bit because I was hoping that they will recover from the mess they went through just like how Mylot recovered.

I feel sad about it. I joined back in November 2012 and I really had a connection with Bubblews. Until they started failing their payments. But I earned much there.

I had some unpaid redemptions, more than $200 so I deleted my account a year before it closed.Just wondering also how I can retrieve my posts. I do not have copies of it,specially the ones I consider as good ones.

I'm a little bummed. I'm not surprised they closed though. I figured it was coming. I wasn't there very often though. It's still sad to think that everything I wrote on that site is gone. At least I managed to get one article on the front page. I was mostly on there for the people, and most of them pretty much disappeared.

I'm kind of a little sad. I do miss writing there and interacting with the members. By the end I really wasn't there for the money, as I knew that I probably wasn't going to reach payout. I'm too surprised that they closed though. The site was really declining ever since they made those changes earlier this year.

I think I already said a lot about Bubblews in the past few days. But I haven't said anything about my posts there. Although most of my posts were about my daily rants and raves, I also posted poems and serious stuff. But it's okay. I don't regret ever posting them anyway.

It was sad when we saw the message of Bubblews demise, but it is time to move on and enjoy our time on this site looking forward to positive days ahead.
