I Just Love It !

While I was eating my breakfast at an eatery near the hospital where I had my laboratory tests done last Tuesday , I was also watching people come in or just pass by .
Most of those who came in , were middle age people like me and noticed that they were impeccably dressed . From the shoes , jeans and blouses , to their bags and accessories , they were impeccable !
I feel proud for them for still being that, despite the matured age, because I am also one of them too. I just love dressing up accordingly .
For me , the maturing age should not deter us from making ourselves look good always even at the house and the more when we go out of the house .
Though , we should have in mind to dress accordingly , meaning according to what is suited for our age , for our body built , occasion and place .
Do you share this attitude of mine , guys ?
Good morning from the Philippines !

I don't follow fashion trends too , because usually some of the fashionable clothes are for younger people . I always buy classic clothes so they can be worn over many years .
And yes just like you , i also have in my my body shape while dressing .

I understand because i was once a stay at home. I get lazy dressing up well if i have to go out .
But when i started going to an office again , i regained my sense of dressing .

Yes, so it's better to have clothes that are classic , not too fancy but appropriate to the occasion .

@SIMPLYD True it doesn't and I try to dress ok and up be untidy and misplaced.
I agree you don't have to be the follower of fashion.

I dont mind as long as I get to wear what I am comfortable with. Today, because I stay at home most of the time, and go out for a very negligible time, I still go in almost the same attires.
Back when I was a student and then an employee, I loved to be selective and well dressed.

Of course, I do! I just feel uncomfortable seeing women going to church dressed like they are going to a bar - - sporting very revealing dresses. Sometimes I am thinking that it may be the reason why my former classmates in the seminary, who were ordained priests, decided to leave the convent and married their secret girlfriends.

@SIMPLYD I was the one not chosen; they were chosen coz they were ordained . . but then the chosen ones usually choose to leave the convent because they think they made a mistake when lots of pretty ladies are smiling at them. I knew I would have done the same . . that is why I decided to tell our bishop . . "Monsignor, I changed my mind!"

I do dress up more now than when I was younger. I used to work in an office and wore business clothes, so on my day off or the weekends, I dress down- tshirt and jeans mostly. Nowadays though I try to be trendy. We're the same. Are you from the Bicol region? I'm fromBaguio..

@vickyrose Yes, i am from the province of Albay , Bicol Region , where that famous landmark of Albay is .
It's nice to know that you are from Baguio , kababayan .
I also try to be trendy nowadays , though not much because it has to suit me though .
So you were also an office girl then . It's nice to work in an office .

Thank you for saying that .
That is understandable , because you will be hanging out with young people - your kids.
I guess, one factor too is the people around you . When they are generally the younger ones you should at least learn how to dress just like them though a bit tamed .

I usually dress simply, but nicely. I think it is important to feel good about how you look, no matter what your age.

although I have dresses for formal events, I don't know but I still prefer denims and tee-shirts with rubber sandals. When I wear a dress, I am that demure lady, but when I am in rugged attire, I walk like a man, move like a man, sit "de-quatro". I also have that shoulder-pouch bag and my hair tied up. at 56, I do not dress according to my age (silly me!)

You know , being presentable doesn't mean those nice dresses . As long as you are good to look at and your shoes and dresses are clean , you are already presentable .
Just like you , i haven't gotten over my liking for the denim pants .
