Most Random Act Of Kindness

Dayton, Ohio
November 19, 2015 1:45pm CST
I was searching the ground with my youngest daughter. We were at a shop, and were looking for rocks for my daughter's school project. Then the most amazing thing happened. A car pulls up to us, the driver rolls down her window and says, "Do you need lose change?" As she reaches in to her purse, I explained that we were looking for rocks. She apologized, but I told her no need to apologize for being kind! Wow, how amazing that this woman offers help to those in need. Acts of kindness prove there is goodness in humanity.

I'm glad you took it sweetly. Its just me- I would have been looking at my clothes to see if I had gone out of the house looking like a beggar.

I have pulled muscles in my back. I've been in pain for a week and a half. I am sure I did look like a beggar. If I wasn't in pain we would have gone to the woods for rocks, not looking around the shops.

@BethieAnnie I hear you. I have had cruddy posture for years. Last week my back has been feeling worse. I walked into a cafe with my Mom one morning and found that folks were staring at me. Guess I am the official Old Crone now.

@sallypup who knows, maybe you will get some acts of kindness, too. It is just comforting to know that if I needed help, there are still people willing to do so.

That is exr what she thought! And, off her permission, she stopped to try and help. I have been too cynical lately, so this was refreshing.

I don't know if she realizes the difference her kindness has. We don't always know those things, but kindness works itsway through.

There is a lot of good people in this world, a lot more than bad people we see on the news which the TV stations love to show us.
