Wonderful Etsy surprise Many of you know if you read my posts that I have an Etsy store. It’s been going ok even though I feel with now being back in the UK I’ve somewhat lost my US market which I once had. Anyway I went to get late lunch and when I got back to my laptop I gain a sale. Pair of knitted fingerless gloves made in Bamboo and Cotton. Guess where the sale was going, yeah right to the USA to my surprise. So maybe I could be wrong, that I’ve not lost my US market or maybe I have to some degree but nonetheless it was a lovely surprise and they are now in the post heading towards the USA.

Sorry to hear you are broke as broke. I'm glad you've ordered from over seas. The lady said the package should take about 5 working day, which is good to know. I guess it all depends where the people live. If people live out in the middle of nowhere it could take longer.

Thank you, there is some really nice yarn over in the US, I was there for 2 years. But I think you could be right in general that here in the UK there is some wonderful yarn over here. Rowan yarn is wonderful but can be expensive.

@kevin1877uk I love Rowen Yarn but the price is very off putting. Stylecraft has become my yarn of choice over the last few months.

I bet it is a nice surprise when you sell to someone where would least expect. I'm going to be looking into selling on Etsy after this weekend. I have a local craft show to go to on Saturday and will use left over stock on Etsy.

Does the UK hold craft fairs? I wouldn't know how many knitted or crocheted items are sold on etsy per day, but I wonder if it's more that people are going to the craft fairs now. This is the time of year for all of those fairs. It also could be shipping costs, or this time of year fear that the gift won't reach our shores until after Christmas?
