Thanksgiving is next week. I am disabled and have muscle damage that makes things like shopping difficult. I still get around and I keep house and cook but I move slower and I don't move without pain. This year, I decided to consider myself into the holidays. I did a lot of Christmas shopping online and early. I have four grandchildren and six adults to buy for. All of the adults except one will get money and just a few small gifts to open. I took advantage of clearance deals, used money I earned on Zemandi and gift cards I earned on Swagbucks (and some of our money) and I finished all the children's shopping. No it is not that I am in a hurry for Christmas. Its that I want to enjoy it. It isn't that I want to put up the tree yet, I just want to take the season slow and easy. Next week I will cook for all of these people plus some..I will space it out over two days...I want to enjoy dinner with my family and not be in pain or tired. I am thinking after dinner - maybe I will have the men folk take the kids out for a hay ride or on the four wheelers through the woods and me and these childrens mothers will turn my room into a big wrapping party! Sometimes I have to think about me!

There is nothing wrong with thinking about you. I have to do the shopping in several trips just to get everything for Thanksgiving dinner. I cannot do long grocery orders anymore. I have a lot of health issues, and have to look after myself. I do most of my Christmas shopping online these days anyway.
