Blessing one minute, cursing the next

Something to ponder:
I was listening to a group of teen aged boys speaking with each other a couple of days ago. It makes me cringe to hear the words they so freely use to address each other. It made me think, WHAT IF you took away the swearwords? I wonder what kind of vocabulary would be left. Would some people find it difficult to talk at all? I don’t know, but I would like to think that some might find that they can speak more fluently and expressively without their encumbrance.
I think if you can't express yourself well enough without expletives then I guess it's time to add new words to your vocabulary.
We have to ponder: Does my crass language reveal something about my heart? Those who have developed a habit of swearing may well write off what I am trying to say as being judgmental. I offer it more as a point of view.
And so blessing and cursing come pouring out of the same mouth. Surely, my brothers and sisters, this is not right!

@tuttiharris I really try my hardest not to swear and very rarely do. However it seems to come out automatically when I get extremely frustrate.

@gudheart It will work for you eventually, you will find yourself going the whole day one day without letting one word out... It is kind of like mourning for a loved one... seems it will never pass, and then when one day you realize you did not cry that day,or linger on the loss of your loved one, you feel just a bit guilty, but it is all okay, that is God's way of taking care of you is my belief.

@gudheart (4825), I don't either... oh, there was a time that I did say some bad words that I had rather not use, when I was very young, but never took God's name in vain. Just those nonsense words.. and then I started says oh snot, or hen fuzzy, or things like that, but now I very seldom even say those things. I think my big word was "snot" Love to you Gud... you have a great day, and thank you for your comment.

@T_gray (389), My Papa, which was my father-in-law, he did a whole lot... every other word I guess..but I totally loved that man. He always was true to say what was on his mind, he never danced around the truth. He loved me also... We got along very good. I miss him today.

I try very hard to watch what I say, and I don't usually curse much at all. Sometimes I do slip when I get hurt or something but I try to portray my faith with my lips.

I don't swear much at all, but at the same time I do not find these words overly offensive. It does show a lazyness from some people, but they are just words at the end of the day, a collection of letters put into a certain order that someone at some time in history decided that they were offensive

@mrtoffee (1449) , We are all different, I find some more offensive than others, especially the ones that take my Lord's name in vain. Thanks for the comment. Paul, you have a great day.. ((hugs))

@tuttiharris thanks for the hugs and the love I can totally understand being offended by words that offend something so close to your heart
