If You Write It, Don't You Save It?

I noticed a lot of comments about people trying to retrieve their posts from the now-defunct Bubblews (no, I did not have the 'pleasure' of contributing *said facetiously*).
If I write something I think worth saving, I back it up. I am not going to depend on an outside website to always 'store it' for my convenience.
What do you do with your 'masterpieces'? Save them to your HD or the cloud? Or not? Take a chance and get caught with your pants down?

I agree with not wanting to be reminded of rambling or as I like to call it -- babbling.

I don´t save what I write here, but I save other writings. As technology changes, I don´t know if saving in paper is still the best method

I am starting to save content on another writing site I use. I don't feel the need to do so here though.

I always back up my computer to an external HD. I will not risk losing anything worth saving.
There are many free programs and my Win 7 has a back-up program that I always run on a regular basis. You always hope your computer won't crash, but why risk it? If you back it up, you can restore everything in minutes.

Depends on if it is something I want to save and if I do, I think the best place is the cloud. Even though the cloud can fail, I find that flahsdrives can be lost and computers crash. Another good place is in a folder in your email inbox.

I saved some of my posts in Bubblews, but not all. I didn't save when I first joined the site, so I just missed all my earlier writings. As I wrote about my daily life, so those posts serve as some good memories for me, but it's okay if I don't have them.
I usually save my work in the cloud, as I do not dare to trust my hard disk anymore once my laptop broke down.

I've saved all my writing and since I kept all my articles I can repost them on HubPages, which I am doing with some revisions.

I was one of the stupid one who did not take time to save it. I thought Bubblews would always be there.

None of my Bubblews posts were worth saving. I feel the same way about MyLot. They are basically little ditties about my day. I can't imagine storing these.

Most posts I write are trivial. The ones that are worth saving are on my hard drive, saved. I'm not worried about finding my 'lost' posts.

I did not save it on a backup because some of it were just like "trash" for me; but some are good. I have it in my recycle bin when I had my laptop fixed; now I can't retrieve it. It is better to always have a backup file.
