Snowy Daze

Yes I am in a snowy daze for the past two days. The snow came fast and furious and even though we were warned I didn't take it seriously. I am sitting here watching the birds trying to get to the food under the piles of snow in the bird feeder. Everything that wasn't put away is buried in snow and I did my part in shoveling yesterday. I love the fresh new snowfall, the first for the season. The good news is that I know we will be having a white Christmas. What is going on in your neck of the woods?

As I look out my window today it's sunny, without a cloud in the sky. And no forecast of snow. I know the snow will come, but so far there's no indication that will be soon.

We had such an awesome fall that I unrealistically felt it would last forever.

It's still coming down here, I love to see the snowflakes falling but hate to go outside, especially driving.

@suzzy3 I just checked under "discussions" and I don't see that. Are you looking at my discussions or my activities?

Well, desert weather anyway @Freelanzer I'm betting some of this state is getting some nasty rain storms and possibly some flooding.
Yeah, I consider myself lucky except when it's spring and everyone else has flowers and green grass, too hot here for those.

@Freelanzer We are moving to Oregon. A part where it does not snow all that often.

Are you thinking of moving to a snow free place? I have those yearnings every winter

It sounds beautiful, but I like it in our mountains here in Oregon. It is too disruptive in the valley. We have had quite a bit of rain and more coming next week.

That would be my preference if we had mountains here but it is all flat.

I often dream of a green Christmas and I have experienced them as well so I like both.

I live in Quebec, Canada and so far I can't complain about the weather. I don't miss the snow at all. Strange weather!

@Freelanzer I'm with you! I have nothing against snow. It is beautiful but as we get older it gets harder and harder to deal with the quantity of snow that we get.
Well, everything is white this morning but it is going to warm up and rain later this week so it will most likely disappear.

I like to look at it as long as I don't have to drive in it. I also am not a fan of shoveling

One more sleep and I will trade the cold and snow for green and hot. Enjoy Spain

This is the most snow I have seen this early so it means about 5 or 6 months of looking at the white stuff

The one thing I like is that when it is snowing it isn't too cold but after the snow goes it gets really cold and I hate that

@Freelanzer Oh I know what you mean, the snow seems to keep it warm almost. I have just bought some logs for my fire so I'm going to try it out tonight as I've never used it before. It is still freezing here, even more so than the day before yesterday x

We are so hoping not to see snow for several months! Not a fan of the cold, but not in control of it either.

We're still getting decent weather in my neck of the woods but I know it's only a matter of time before the white stuff is covering the ground. I'm enjoying these snow free while they last

Enjoy it. I thought I was going to have a long mild fall but it was not to be.

For people in warmer climates it is always a great experience the first time you see snow, but after awhile it isn't that much fun anymore
