Wellies and Boulders

Having just read Anna's ( @LadyDuck ) post about the Greek earthquake I just wanted to stop by and thank you for your concerns. No our house wasn't demolished and we never felt a thing. A boulder fell off a hill in the island of Lefkada and killed someone, as you can see from the photo it is easy to see how boulders would be easy to tumble in a tremor.
Sorry I don't post more often but busy with work. Day off today and heading into town and wouldn't you know that after weeks of high temps and sunshine it has just started to pour. Good job I bought the leopard skin wellies for the dirt track! A girl needs a bit of dazzle in the mud. I'm sure that will scare off any crashing boulders.

Well those do sound like exciting wellies. Too bad about the rain but a trip to town is always fun.

Great to hear from you! Aren't you lucky to have work! I was so worried about you and your son. Are you staying warm this winter? I love the image of the leopard skin wellies. Here the rain boots aren't so fashionable but maybe I don't know because I never see anyone wearing them except those horrible things fishermen wear when they're wade fishing. You have the same attitude about earthquakes as people who live in California.... I'm glad you're okay.

Yikes. Glad you are fine. I heard about a man who was crushed when a boulder fell off of Chapman's Peak drive near Cape Town a few years ago. I think it must have meant it was his time to go, the timing of a moving boulder landing on a moving car made it seem like fate.
