It Was the Last One in the Shop

I went into town earlier to buy one of those halogen heaters - you know the sort of thing; an oscilating glowing tower with adjustable heat settings. When I got to the shop, there was only one heater left, and the box it was in was a bit battered. Despite my concerns, I bought it anyway, but when I got it home I noticed that there was something rattling about inside of it, and when I switched it on it didn't work. I'll be taking it back tomorrow - and getting a full refund. Have you ever bought duff goods?

I am particular about buying items with dents and dings in them. My tried and true motto is this, if it didn't come from the grocery store I work at, I'm not buying it. That isn't to say I don't shop at other stores, just that I do not buy damaged goods from other stores. Especially if it's electronic in anyway because sometimes the return clerks can be annoying to deal with and I'd rather avoid the hassle at all costs.
