Are you planning to go home for the holidays? Are you looking forward to it? Or are you dreading it? Would you go home even if it weren't Thanksgiving or are you just going home because you must? I'm a little lucky. My family is far away and it is ok. We get along well. And some members will visit me around Christmas. How about you?

I guess I'm already "home". Right now I'm living with my parents. I honestly hope that this is my last time that I've living with them for the holidays because I'm really ready to start my own life and get my own thing going. It's been hard since I was married and went through a divorce but I'm ready to get back out there again, I just need to take the first step in the right direction....
So long story short, I'll be home for the holidays but I hope that next year I'll be "home" but it'll be my own home not my parents'.

Hey Now!!! I think we know the holidays are now over. Nice!!! I have a great holiday season. I am not complaining. And I am going to be making plans for next New Years Eve. I already spoke to my cousins and we might wind up renting a place for that big bash.

We don't like to travel much anymore for holidays because the trips are just too hard on us physically. I wish we could have joined the family today, but it was a six-hour round trip for 3-4 hours to be there. We are going to try to meet in other ways at a half-way point for dinner when it's not a holiday. My brother is five hours away in good traffic, one way. What's left of my family gets along well.

I'll be heading back to Massachusetts to see my mom, dad, and brother there for Thanksgiving. We get along very well even though my parents are divorced (I'm 26 so it's been awhile!). I'm really looking forward to it, I see them once a month since I moved to New York and there will be a ton of awesome food! :)
