It really drives me crazy since you don't pick up the phone

Some of us refuse to be slaves to our cell phones. If mine rings at the weekend, I ignore it (or most likely don't know as I leave it in another room)

Herein India, its not the case like elders. but youngsters lack responsibilities on attending. Just take my friend. He is my best friend. but he sometimes turn like a psycho. Without any reason, he will not attend it. i have scolded him many times for this cheap behaviour. but no use at all. then i changed my habit and stopped calling him. also i started giving the same insult to him to make him realize what he was doing it to me on most important times Even till today his character is just same. Other than this psycho type characters, i also have some more characters who do not attend my calls. They are 1. whom i had offered money helps, 2. Another group of psychos who have strong policies to attend anybody calls only after missing their call 2 times (according to them its a prestigious issue if they attend quickly) This is the same way my friend does too. Poor guy. Like this plenty of peoples are there who avoid calls purposely too. On the other hand, in this busy world, we really cannot blame everyone too. Sometimes i used to think, All are busy and yes, everyone have their own reasons. Some might be riding bike, or talking with their clients, or busy with their own problems, tensions, etc., So nowadays i stopped bothering if anyone dont attends my call. But it bothers me if they don't call me back later. My respect and attitude will be changed after seeing their reactions with maximum of 3 excuses!

Yes! This happens to me too. When I try to call my parents, they never hear the phone or don't pick up but it's okay though if they don't. However, if I don't pick up, they will call constantly until I do!

My mother is 75 years old now, and often doesn't pay attention to the phone calls. She say that she doesn't hear the phone rings. She also never check the phone to see whether there is missed the call. I know, this situation will be make crazy if you in emergency. But, we have to be patient with our condition of your dad, I also often be patient with my mother...

I get annoyed when I need to talk to someone about something really important but they don't answer. Seems to be whenever I need them the most they don't answer.

It bugs me as well!! You are talking about elder people, but here my colleagues do this too!! I mean, all you have to do is let me know via Whatsapp or any other chat thatyou are busy or you can just pick up and let me know!! But nooooo, they will let the phone ring !!!

Yes these condition let us to find way out by calling nearby person.
