For those of you that have been following my posts about my school-hood best friend, Rose, (picture is of us at my mom's 88th birthday party this past August) know that she just got a diagnosis of lung cancer.
I just found out that she is Stage 4 and it has metastasized (spread) to the brain.
She is back on the vent. I only hope that she can hang on until I get paid so I can afford to drive up to Ohio (from NC) to see her.
I hope she survives this, but I am not naive, and I do have health care experience.

Yes, it is sad. I wonder if she will still be around this time next year. I will have to wait and see.

@Pattitude So how is she taking this truth that she will soon be leaving this world because of her sickness ?

@SIMPLYD I have not been able to talk to her, she is on a ventilator. I will drive up there next week.

Life is so unpredictable and in the end all we have is our faith.

I'm afraid that the good times are probably over.

I am so broken hearted, too. Between my school work and my crying spurts, I just have not been going online.
She was off the vent again, and is now back on.
I found out a couple of days ago that the doctor told her husband she only has 3-6 months to live. I did not take that very well!

You do have something to cope with specially when this is happening to your best friend.

@Pattitude It is not easy to face a situation when there is nothing much you can do and this is what you have to cope which can be very traumatic.

I was told they took her off the vent, but she did not last very long so they put her back on.

I am going next week, when I get paid. I hope she can hang on that long.
