Where to bring a toddler for his birthday?

My son will be 3 by January. I want to celebrate his birthday more memorable, since he can now appreciate things around him. We used to have parties at home before. But this time, I wish to do it outdoors. Do you have any suggestions where to bring him for his birthday? I'm not thinking of anything extravagant. just anything that will be appropriate for his age.
