I Hate Word War

I am firm believer in one true God. All creation silently but effectively declares the fact that there is God. My own life is a proof that God does exist. I believe in Jesus, my Lord and my Savior. I am a proud Christian as a matter of fact.
As a Christian, I am dutiful to share my faith to anyone who is willing to listen.
But to the unwilling, I feel no obligation to insist my faith. I don't exert effort on those who are clearly opposed or disinterested with the gospel. Why? Because, this oftentimes lead to bitter word war or empty debate. I hate word war, in fact I hate war in whatever form.
However I am ready to engage in any friendly and respectful debate to defend my faith. Have a nice day everyone!

You don't have to engage in word war with people over their disbelief in your faith Jesus told his disciples whoever they preach the gospel to and such people didn't accept it they should dust off their sandals from such a person house and take their leave. so that is just all you need to do to avoid word war cause it very hard changing ones belief and trying to convince another person about your faith and whenever you want to engage in a respectful debate about your faith try to make most of your references from the bible for better explanation

I am also a Christian, actually a Catholic and very firm in my faith. I however respect everyone's right to follow their own conscience.

I do discuss about politics and religion but I make sure it is a healthy discussion among polite people.

Madam,
If the world starts thinking the way you do, we dont need to die to enter heaven.
But, some serious problem is happening. ISIS, Al Qaeda, Taliban and several other examples exist in the name of GOD.

@the_thinker thank you for engaging me into a healthy discussion such as this. I love it.
With due respect I wish to tell you that I am not confused in my belief. I posses the Holy Spirit of God so I am well guided with how I will interpret His Word. Besides, I don’t go beyond what the Bible says and I don’t believe any other words of men, even if they look like angels if they don’t correspond to the teachings of the Bible.
I stand by my belief that faith alone could save. Well, my discussion will be long so I hope you will have patience to read this. And also I think I will have to divide my response to you in accordance to points you have raised because if I am not mistaken, I know there is a limit in the number of words for every post. I hope you will read all of them.

@salonga Madam,
Oh My GOD!
I never thought that just a small statement of mine can create such huge responses from your end. It seems that you are really serious. Well, even I will love to discuss on this but not here else we might go off - topic.
I suggest you post a different thread specially on this topic and tag me somewhere. Then we shall connect and reach on a consensus.
You too have a nice day. Thumbs up!!!

I do believe but I don't put a label on my person .. I don't feel the need to defend the most powerful Energy behind all things we see and don't see.. I feel that the desire to defend the ONE is what caused and what is causing disharmony, inequality and disunity amongst humans ---- that lead to wars as we are clearly witnessing ..

As I always believe, each one is entitled to her own opinion and free to express it whenever he feels the need. I respect your belief in this case.

people can always doubt about for as long as they shall live, though right now i feel like having a faith crisis, i do believe there's a god as been taught to me in school. in the end we all end up as dust.

From dust we came, from dust we will return but that is not yet the end there is yet to come and that is the resurrection day which all Christians do await.

The scripture clearly says in 2 Tim 2;23 -26 that we are not to get into foolish arguments .. we need to pray for grace for such people as its the grace of God that brings people to accept the Truth.
I am like you too.. I witness to everyone who is willing to listen.. I don't impose my faith on anyone.

I agree with you. I am a Christian, but I believe that some "Christians" try to force their faith on other people ... and that does not seem very Christian to me. I believe in enjoying my faith and letting other people do the same.

It is not good to insist your faith on someone who is not at all willing to listen to you.

A war on words usually means people are not open minded.
if they are willing to share, and learn, they will become a happier person.
There is no need to argue about religion.
if there is a need to argue about religion, then we let the deities hold their own argument.

Sharing and learning from each other is very healthy. But it is hard to do it when one is not open-minded. Better just stop and talk to an open minded one.

If all creation declares there is a God, it's only fair to include war in that creation. Sadly, not everyone who believes in one true god or another is as reasonable about their faith as you are.

@troyburns With due respect, I must say that I disagree that war is created by God. War is not a creation of God. It is not a thing like mountains, heavens, earth, oceans, birds, plants , moon, stars, sun humans, animals and the likes. God's creations are all originally good. God did not create evil thing like war. All evil things happen because men have been tainted with sin by their own choice.
I am not insisting that you believe what I said here, but I am entitled to speak the truth that I uphold just as you are also entitled to speak your mind as well.

I first strive to let my life show the nature of Christ and if ask what I believe and I will share how the Word of God living what it says changed me and will stop if there is a resistance for if God is not drawing it will fall on deaf ears.

I agree with you in this sense. It is better to let your light shine so that they may see your good works and glorify God through your life. And why insist on someone who chose not to listen.
