Thanksgiving is tomorrow. My wife and I are planning to go to our church's Thanksgiving meal that they are having.
I am looking forward to the day as it is about the only holiday I like.
What better holiday is there where you get to stuff yourself?
What are you doing if you celebrate the USA Thanksgiving?

@Marcyaz not really. I got a ham, but we eat ham a couple times a month. Honestly, I get depressed around holidays. I miss grandpa, and I miss being with my gram. She is 600 miles away and I am lucky if I am able to make that trip once every two years

My family and I spent the time fixing the meal and spending the day together but unfortunately two of them have to work today so they had to leave but not before we had our turkey dinner. Thank You and I am sorry to hear your husband came down with a cold. The Lord saw fit to send us some snow to make this day complete.

@Marcyaz So tell me how did your Thanksgiving go? I am going to my friends but my husband is not as he came down with a cold so I'll bring him a nice big plate of goodies that will cheer him up. God bless you on this wonderful Thanksgiving Day. It's a wonderful day to give thanks to the Lord for His many blessings in our lives

We are meeting up with a few family members at a State Park that has a great Thanksgiving Buffet. It is popular and reservations have to be made months in advance. We have done this before and it is worth it.

I get to work on Thanksgiving, so my daughter and I had our Thanksgiving meal today, instead.
We made smoked turkey, homemade rolls and potatoes Au Gratin.
After we finished our meal, we both headed to our rooms and have played on our computers the rest of the day. (shrug)
OH! A friend of mine did show up uninvited (shrug), so I fed him and he is sitting beside me playing some game on his phone (shrug) and talking at me while I talk on myLot. (Don't ask me what he is saying, I pay enough attention to him to say, "uh huh" or "Really?" He apparently accepts that as conversing with him. I am good to go!)

No, I am not really that much of a not-friend (The site wouldn't let me write a lady's cleansing product instead of non-friend!)... I have been talking to him since he got here. He is actually working online on his phone and asking me questions so he can give answers to people needing help with different things on whatever site he is on.
I hope he gets paid for my answers! (I usually do!) LOL!

Sorry to see you had to work @DaddyEvil but at least you enjoyed a nice dinner with Pretty and your friend. At least you had a friend there to share with you.

I'm sorry to hear your day won't be a special one. Everyone should have a special day giving thanks to God for the many blessings He has bestowed upon us. I love the song "Count your blessings name them one by one, count your many blessings see what God has done" Maybe you can try counting your blessings that is special. I think of the homeless and that really gets me counting my blessings. Or people who are in prisons because they believe in Jesus Christ. How about you do you believe in the Lord Jesus Christ?

@Drosophila Yes you are right in every day we should give thanks to the Lord. Thanksgiving is a wonderful day for families to gather together and give thanks together. I agree that when things don't go our way we definately need to give thanks as He knows what is best for us. God bless you

@Butchcass4 I try to give thanks to the lord every day, so today is no different. :)
I especially try to give thanks when things don't go the way I wanted/planned, because there's probably a very good reason for that. Lesson I've learned repeatedly in my life.

I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner at your church. We are going to stay home and have a small, family Thanksgiving dinner here. It will just be my wife, our youngest son, and me. This will be the first year our oldest son is not home for Thanksgiving.

@DaddyEvil My husband and I were going to our friends house but my husband came down with a cold and is miserable so he won't be going. But I will bring him home a nice big plate of goodies that will cheer him up for sure. Hope your Thanksgiving is wonderful
