Before I Go....

Shortly I'll be heading over to my daughters to help her prep everything for tomorrows big feast. I have the lucky job of peeling potatoes, chopping celery and onions and basically doing whatever she needs help getting done. With 25 people coming we'll be doing a buffet style meal since the dining room won't fit more than 12. Actually I don't care where I eat as long as I get to fill my plate with all the things I wait a whole year to enjoy!! Thankfully the weather will cooperate and family will be able to travel without rain or snow. This will be the first year that all of my children and grandchildren will be together for Thanksgiving. All of us under the same roof will be lots of fun and I'm truly blessed and thankful for each and every one of them. I'm already experiencing pre Thanksgiving excitement.

@painsonslate do you celebrate the Canadian Thanksgiving? Is it different than our American feast?

@Marilynda1225 @Juliaacv Yes we do celebrate in Canada in October. My kids are usually there because its a big Art and Craft weekend for me and they help me with it. My youngest was celebrating birthdays with his partner in Los Vegas. My two older were here. The Hubs cooks but he was working too this year so we didn't get the big dinner. I believe it was spaghetti and meatballs... So we basically skipped Thanksgiving this year......sigh

I am enjoying the fact that all I have to worry about is some roasted veggies, sweet potatoes and a salad of mozzarella and tomatoes. I was the hostess for many years.

How wonderful for you! I am glad that all your children and grandchildren will be together at the same time. That rarely happens for us and, when it does, we feel blessed!
