How well I remember Bindi Irwin, a cute little Australian girl in the company of her famous dad Steve Irwin, the Crocodile hunter, as he wrestled crocodiles. I watched Bindi as she grew up and always had an interest in what she was doing, especially after tragic death of her father. Last night Bindi Irwin, with dance partner Derick Hough, won the coveted Mirrorball trophy becoming Dancing with the Stars season 21 champions. I felt so proud and happy for her. Does anyone remember the crocodile hunter TV shows? Do you watch Dancing with the stars?

@Freelanzer I think so too. I could sit and watch her dance all day.

@Freelanzer Sounds like fun. I didn't pay attention to this at all when my BF put it on the TV because a lot of stuff he watches I can't stand so I get up and leave.

@Freelanzer Yes, it is that way indeed . A professional dancer and a celebrity , but it's our local version here .

She's grown up following in her father's footsteps and yet she had carved her own niche in life

It wasn't until the latter period of his life that Australians decided that Steve Irwin was maybe okay. He was more popular overseas than in his home country - which is par for the course really. He was so full-on some regarded him as a bit of joke. It's great to see Bindi doing so well.

Isn't that always the way it is, many celebrities have to go outside their countries to get noticed and are not appreciated in their own country

there is a Philippine version of the dance contest, and I just love the children's moves on the dance floor. Not adult dancers but children.
