This year my apricot tree will not be of much helped to me. It was so big and high that last Winter I had it pruned. Now I can only see a few apricots and as the weather has been chilly, they are far from ripe.
Other years I would be expecting the apricots to make jams for the young and an apricot brandy for the grownups. Not now, it seems.
So I´d better be on the lookout for inexpensive gifts for my grandchildren.
Although I don´t have the urge to buy as Christmas gets near, today I bought what it seems like perfect gifts for Sofia, my 5 year old youngest granddaughter.
There were 3 gifts that were very nice yet not too expensive.
One is a doll, Barbie like, with 3 changes of glittering dresses, hats and even lipstick. A girl´s dream, I hope.
The other is a stroller and bathtub, maybe for a bigger doll. She can wash there the doll that I washed and cleaned last week, when I was invited to my daughter´s house.
Finally there is a real blender. I don´t know if it works or if it has batteries. We´ll see at Christmas time.
Those presents are more than enoght for her. In fact, I have been thinking about asking Carolina if she wants to have one of them so that she can give it to her sister.
Two weeks from now I have my appointment with the oncologist. The hospital is very near the farmer´s market. Maybe I should buy something to cook something yummy for Christmas for the older family.
What are you planning for Christmas
