Drawn by Children

Please take a good look at these drawings done by children aged 6 to 9 . Aren’t they beautiful ? These were some of the artworks done by the children who paid only 300 pesos ( $.6.67) at the celebration plaza of the mall we manage. It has free snacks and lunch and free use of the electronic bike for 30 minutes . It’s more than worth the payment actually , because the children learned how to draw and paint . So which one is your choice ? Mine is the one with two coconut trees with the moon between them . It’s like it was drawn by a teenager already . It reminds me how I used to draw and color in my elementary days .

The kids are so artistic I should say. I could not pick among those drawings. They are all really nice to my eyes. I used to enjoy drawing when I was younger but I love to draw women in fashionable clothing.

So you have The inclination to be a fashion designer . I like making designs of dresses too , although i don't know how to draw those people wearing them . Just simply the dress .

@SIMPLYD Children seem to draw only what they see and like .. it comes so naturally to them .. The common scenes of the day.

That is amazing. Children can really draw if they want. I started drawing when I was so small and I still love to draw and paint today. In school i won many awards for my art.

@SIMPLYD Yes when I was small I spent a lot of time in the hospital. The nurse who took care of me spent a lot of time with me drawing and coloring. I loved it and just kept doing it all my life. I love to paint, sculpt in wood, clay and draw to this day. I do it a lot because it is fun and relaxing. I have a small studio set up in my home to do this one with.

@arthurchappell Really , that's sad . During our elementary days , we are taught on how to draw and color . And our artworks are displayed on a big bulletin board , every time we made a new one .

@SIMPLYD art lessons at school were rubbish - we got no lessons in form or style, just draw a house, draw a car, draw a cat, etc., as if we would somehow start producing masterpieces without any discipline at all

My son has developed his talent in sketching. He is into anime thingy. I can also draw simple landscapes and abstract, like lines and curves. Just kidding, my lady, but i have an inclination. My late father passed his talent to some of his childrechildren and I am one of them. Those drawings of the children can get much in monetary terms.

@SIMPLYD good morning. I can draw some vials, syringes, capsules, and other items in a typical medication area, and some peaceful solitudes too, but sketching a person's facial feature, that I will have some difficulty.

I like them all. Children have such natural ability to express themselves and art gives them that opportunity. It not only lets them create something that makes them proud and gives them a sense of accomplishment. It lets out thoughts and emotions in a positive way. These young ones did a tremendous job, I can imagine the joy they felt when each painting was completed. I have always liked drawing and coloring both. When I was young I would sit for hours on end with art paper. I was never a good artist but derived much pleasure from it. In the US, many of the schools are doing away with art and music programs claiming there is not enough funds. I think this is quelling an crucial part of a child's development.

You have beautifully said it all . Indeed these are the expressions of each child as they were instructed to draw that of nature . It's sad indeed that this is one aspect that the government doesn't give much importance and budget . That is what happens here also in the Philippines . That aspect lacks budget or have no budget at all.

@dorianna Maybe they are presuming that since it is one of the activities at school , it is already enough and at the hands of the parents already to develop such talent .
