What is life all about ?

At times I wonder about life and the very purpose or non purpose of our living and life ! The more you begin to analyse the more futile our whole existence seems to me . People harm each other , kill each other , cheat one another just out of greed and for power.But finally everyone has the same end - Death ! No matter what one tries or does it is impossible to beat the final reality of death , so why not live and let others live as they want ! Have you thought about this, if so what conclusion did you draw?

I have thought of that before , but i erased it on my mind . I just keep enjoying the days as it rolls and look forward to seeing my creator when my earthly body cannot take the days anymore .

Yes at times we d feel philosophical about life and its purpose and how easily some people throw away their lives without having achieved anything , it is indeed sad !

I feel that life was far more meaningful in the sixties and seventies according to my mother and listening to her I feel that we have too much of everything which makes us discontented constantly looking for new excitements ..

@LadyDuck I totally agree with that, I feel the same when I look back at my own college days. They were so uncomplicated and we got happiness out of simple things like going for a movie with friends or even taking a bus ride during weekends !

@kiran8 I was a teenager in the sixties and I would love to have a time machine and go back at those times. We had less, but we had something that is disappearing now, we were happy.

Woah! That's a bit heavy to start the day. I prescribe a walk on the beach and a half hour looking at photos of your grandson. Both would give me a strong sense of what life's about and for.

This is it. Your one and only shot. No reason, no purpose! Bearing in mind the phenomenally long odds against you even existing I would suggest you just enjoy it as best you can and try to be nice to other people so they can enjoy their brief moment too.

True, very true, no second chance although my own religion and others too speak about rebirth, I have my own doubts ! So make the most of each day without encroaching on others lives and space

The way life is treated it looks as though we are all here on a permanent basis but the truth is otherwise. This truth is hidden behind our efforts to reach whatever goals we set for ourselves. I wonder if there is a way to remind us that we have to go one day.

@kiran8 Life is certainly making the most of your God-given precious gift and using it for the betterment of whole mankind- - - which certainly includes your family, your country and all the people around you. In the light of what's happening today, especially on our side of the world, one cannot understand the hate crimes against innocent people. Hi Gabby, I have been busy with guests and celebrations the past one month, will check and see my inbox....I have been on the site for almost 8 years now ! I too find it totally disgusting to see the kind of hate and violence between people simply because someone thinks or acts differently ..
