No Star Wars For Me...

Are you feeling the Star Wars fever? Are you excited for the upcoming movie? I'm not. Are you even aware that George Lucas was booted out (or did he quit?) of the franchise? Awesome stuff eh?
Obviously I'm not a fan of Star Wars at all. As a kid I was able to watch the first 3 movies on TV and that was it. Never got fascinated by the light sabers or the robots or the characters. Not even the revelation that Darth Vader is Luke's father gave me any feels for it. Nope. No excitement there.
The only time I wanted to see a Star Wars movie was when Hayden Christensen came on board. Still haven't seen any of the movies yet up to now though. Out of curiosity some months ago I had to force myself to watch Episode I without him in it just to see what the heck was going on. Didn't make me want to watch the next ones.
Now I haven't seen all the Star Trek movies or TV episodes either but it's more to my taste. With Spock, Pickard and Data alone I could do a marathon if I felt like it. Oh, add T'Pol too and the Vulcans. Also the "beam me up Scottie" moments are much more exciting than fight scenes with neon red and blue sabers.
I've seen debates about the topic on YouTube and I still side with Star Trek whatever the argument may be. Team Star Trek ftw!!!

I am a fan of both Star Trek and Star Wars and don't try to compare the two. Star Trek is a Science Fiction franchise. Star Wars is a hero fantasy in the style of the old western but with space ships and blasters instead of horses and six-shooters.

I am not! In fact I don't even have an idea what is that movie all about and have not interest to know actually.

oh well... it goes with the age I guess. Or it's just not your cup of tea as well.

You must be of a different generation then. I'm not really into Star Wars but my BFF sure is. I did enjoy the earlier movies before this Hayden character came on board. I like Star Trek and that Vulcan was my favorite character. Of course Star Wars didn't have a TV series come out first.

Yes I am. Still prefer Star Trek whatever the case. And the reimagined Battlestar Galactica tops it all off! Woohooo!!!

Well some are excited about it but I'm not. That makes two and more of us.
