How can someone so small take up so much room?

And by this I mean my 3 year old Son. He is spending his third night in our bed, he has had a bit of a cold which due to him being asthmatic has left him with a cough meaning he coughs until he is sick. I have no problem with him being there but he has about 2 thirds of the bed while me and my Husband are squeezed up on the other third. Even then I'm sure he wants more room than he has. I will never know how such a small person can take up so much room in a double bed. Does anyone else find that their child takes up most of their bed while they are hanging off the edge?

You just don't give it to them. Believe me, I know! I have a twin and have been known to sleep with a dozen in bed with me!

Sounds just like our house it's either our Son or the cat taking up most of the bed in our house.

sounds like me and the cats, except I have a deal, they can sleep anywhere, so long as I'm on the bottom! Except my face, they can't sleep on my face.

We have the cat on the bottom of the bed too, unless she wants attention and then she lays and purrs in my face until I wake up.

@k270585 I figured you had a cat, since you have a pretty girl as your avatar. Most of mine will let me sleep, but as soon as I stir, it MOB-city!

Our Son only sleeps with us when he's poorly as he is asthmatic and we like to keep an eye on him j case he wakes in the night. Also he wakes up coughing until he is sick so it's beat all round if we are with him. Other than that he always goes to bed in his own room.

Mine used to take up the whole bed. Sometimes I would go and sleep in their bed.

My Husband has been known to do that in the past.
