Well I have just put together a few photos of the Giant reclining Buddha at Wat Pho. The Buddha is 151 feet long and is covered in gold leaf.
I have published this short video on Youtube. It might give you a bit more of a perspective of how big this temple complex is. It is right next door to the Grand Palace in Bangkok. It is one of the most revered of temples in Bangkok.
I hope you enjoy looking at this short collection of photos.

Thank you. You know it is quite simple all you do is make it in Youtube. You chose which photos you want and then just add the music and effects. It really is quite simple and hopefully with your blogging you can add them to it.

My first foreign trip (excluding Nepal) was to Bangkok and Singapore. I have visited this temple and a few other places of note. Our tour package had them all in our itinerary.

Sure @garymarsh6. I have taken note of your suggestion and Bangkok is on my wish list. As and when I get a chance to visit Bangkok, I will visit the temple.

Unfortunately I can not watch the video. In July, My friend and I trip to Thailand. When I saw the Temple of the reclining Buddha, wow wow wow, it is amazing and I took some photos of the Buddha. But none of the photos which can include the Buddha's whole body. It's too huge.

It is very long isn't it. I managed to take the whole body but the photo does not really do it justice.

Wat Pho is an interesting place. It was the second place that we visited in Bangkok and I was surpriced to see how large the reclining Buddha actually was.

Mostly by chance and waiting for them to get out of the way! The last part was in the evening when the place was deserted apart from one couple who were milling around. I think there must have been around 30 of us there at the most.

I liked our trip out to the old capital Ayutthaya which is sadly in ruins. It is similar to Angkor wat in Cambodia but much smaller. I loved the Grand Palace naturally. There was one very special and unusual adventure we had which I will post about. It has something to do with food and flying around Bangkok in a Tuk Tuk.

Another lovely slideshow. I must remember to try and put music to mine next time. I gather you have to choose music of just the right length? Is that right?
