Beautiful Spring morning remembering Anne of Green Gables.

The sun is up and I woke up rested and happy. As I opened the laptop, Google told me that today was the 141 birthday of one of my favorite authors when I was a child: Lucy Maud Montgomery. She wrote Anne of Green Gables, a must even for modern children. You can find her books online now and read them free. Anne was a girl that taught us to overcome problems with imagination. I am sure that we can all thank for the sun with her eyes. Which reminds me, while I writw this, of a beautiful song that Cat Stevens sang when I was still young: Morning has Broken. For those who have never heard it, go to youtube and listen to it. It will start your day in a better way

I love Anne of Green Gables. I did read the first four books, and would love to read the rest. They also did make some movies, which I also enjoyed. Amazing author, if you ask me.

I remember Anne of Green Gables. I watched the tv series and I recorded them on tape. My best friend had all of the books and I borrowed them from her. I don't know much about the author aside from her name.

She was a canadian writer and I´d say quite modern as children´s books go, considering that she was born 141 years ago. Check it at the web. Lucy Maud Montgomery

The book is awesome. I did not particulary like the rest of the Anne books, except by Anne of Avonlea.
