Well my "prayers" might have been answered. I just got a call to be asked to be apart of a clinical trial study. I have done clinical trials before but nothing like this. This study requires you to stay at their facility 2 different times for 24 hours a piece. Then there will be 4 outpatient visits. The whole study lasts 2 weeks.
Its not very invasive.
The first visit they will pump saline solution via IV and see if there is a reaction to it, which there wont be. The second visit is where they will give you this drug that has already been approved by the FDA. They are seeing how the immune system responds to the drug. Those few visits will net me a grand which isnt too shabby.
Would any of you partake in a study?

I don't like needles, doctors or medicine so I could not bring myself to do that.

I normally dont mind needles I actually love them when I am getting my tattoos and with drawing blood or putting something in me via IV its just one poke so Its not that bad for me, just a little discomfort right away. The thing I dont like about the needles they use when they draw your blood is that the needles are sizes of cocktail straws ick!

@Castlerock34 I am the biggest baby when it comes to IV's! I can handle having my blood drawn even though I do not like it at all. IV needles are so big and so painful.

@LovingMyBabies I am terrified of having allergic reactions to this and needles so I don't think I could either.

Of course the money is a huge driving force to doing these but I also find it so interesting

As long as they don't have to take any blood samples! I don't mind the sight of my own blood, and have spilled quite a few pints, over the years, but take a blood sample from me and I come over all Victorian lady with her corsets too tight!!

I am actually part of a clinical trial. This is my first participation and it's a 2-year one. I like it as my health is monitored, have free blood works, MRI and other procedures which would be expensive if I do it on my own.
