Totally surprised by today’s lack of activity

Naturally Mylot varies on a daily basis, with some days being quiet and some busy. With today being the last day of November I expected many members to be extremely active in order to generate as much as possible before the month expires. After taking a trip to the city centre earlier that spanned just over 3 hours, I arrived home to find NO notifications. This has undoubtedly been the quietest day I have known, which really makes no sense to me. I can only assume that people are waiting until tomorrow in order to make a special effort to begin December.

I have been on quite a bit today but yes, it is quiet. Uncomfortably so.

I have been struggling to find something to respond to, whereas I expected the opposite.

You know I am not. It seems for the last 4 to 5 days there is not a lot of posts that interest me to even bother to read them or comment on them. I see a lot of stuff on the same topics and basically sort of the same discussion just sort of written differently. I have also been a little busy so I haven't come here a lot. But I see now that not so many people are willing to comment on other discussions. I have also noticed lately that it is basically the same people who write on here day in and day out. I also see the same people who comment too. I know that a lot of people follow me but when you go to look they are basically inactive and don't have a lot of responses or even comments. Plus you look and at times they have tons of discussion but when you check their comments back they don't answer. I don't understand all of this and I personally leave a ton of comments on other people's work who never bother to answer me back ever. I am sort of getting tired of this one. it seems a little one sided at times and this doesn't seem fair to all of us here on the site.

The practice of not responding to comments has always bewildered me because not only does this entice people to interact with us more, but it also makes a noticeable difference to the earnings. I have to confess that I do not submit a discussion every day, although I am often online and do participate.

@poehere There are times that this can be incidental because we all find that we miss some comments for some reason.

@Asylum This is the same with me. I basically came on now waiting the time out for my last computer to finish the virus scan on it. I have done a lot today and got back a bit ago. I try to interact more than I post. So when I do a lot of interacting and I comment on a lot of stuff like I did yesterday. I cam this morning and saw only 7 notifications. That is telling me that a lot of people refuse to acknowledge I even left them a comment. So who knows. All of us have beat these topics to the ground and still nobody seems to take notice and bother to read or respond to other topics on the site. It is sort of frustrating to do all this and never see anyone respond back.

I am sorry if we disappointed you. LOL I was very active yesterday and today I slept in. No notifications? That is odd. I had like 67 when I came on earlier. Depends on which discussions you have commented on I suppose.

I am beginning to wonder how often the notifications let me down. This morning I have completed the notifications, now find 9 responded comments on this discussion.

well, that's because people mostly make new post instead of looking for the recent ones to respond to. that's not activity to me

No, that is certainly not activity. However, I have not seen very many new discussions being posted either.

@Letranknight2015 It was quiet all day yesterday for me, which is very rare. Things appear to have improved this morning, so maybe I totally misjudged the idea and people are more interested in a good start for the month.

@Asylum maybe there's time were people just go to sleep or something. i wonder wi\hich country has the most active lotters in a specific hour judging that we have different time zones.or just another darn bug

I wasn't here too much yesterday, so didn't notice that it was quiet. I can only assume that most people already reached the mimimum for November, so didn't need to scrabble for it.

Maybe I'm still too new to notice but it seemed like business as usual to me, The US long weekend might have affected things a tad, but there were still plenty of active people here and my numbers were as good (or bad) as they always are.

This makes perfect sense because it is difficult to know what an average day's activity is until we have been here for a while.

It has seemed that way to me as well. Although I haven't been as active as I may like. So, in my case, I'm to blame as well. Life has a way of keeping me busy.

Even if you were fairly inactive on that day, the rate of notifications would demonstrate the fall of activity in general.

I was busy here yesterday but today I think it is more slow than a snail! Every day I have time to be here it's so quiet. =( Oh well, it happens I guess.

Does this sound to you like a reasonable theory but of course it won't be true for everyone. I'm just wondering how many folks could be influenced by the end of the month if they know they won't make it to cash out?

Now that is an interesting point and something I had not considered. This morning seems livelier, so maybe people are thinking the opposite way and trying to get a good start to the month.

@Bluedoll I was quite surprised to discover that I reached cashout very easily in November and achieved it almost a week early. Back in the old days I used to hit the target every other month, which was perfectly fine by me. When I returned in September I accrued a little before the month end, which I completed during October. Much to my surprise, November I managed a better amount than the partial month and full month together.

@Asylum I'm not sure it is accurate just a theory. One thing for sure if you don't make this month there is always next and giving up will get you to no where.

Personally, I worked both jobs on Monday, so I didn't have much time to be here any part of the day. I'm still quite a bit behind for trying to make the payout, so I wasn't trying to get it by then. Maybe it'll take place this month for me, but we'll see. I'd have no idea why others weren't around or what they were up to instead.

Many people will have been working and even if someone usually spends a few hours here later they could always have something to do on a specific day. If a certain member was absent for a few days I would not even think about it. It does seem odd when the majority are absent on the same day, especially if it the last day of the month.

It is not too quiet as a rule, although I also felt that the site would be generally busier, especially when the refugees from Bubblews began to arrive.
