Why Do We Keep Rewarding Incompetence?

Unless you've been living under a rock in a remote section of Mars, you've heard about the troubles McDonald's has been having. Troubles like this: McDonald's sales continue to slide. If you were on the Board Of Directors, how would you solve those problems? In the old days, when my friends Righty and Jim were still marginalized and not taken seriously...Well, at least they weren't running 95% of the world, just about 87% of it..., you would have fired the CEO and brought in someone who can get the job done for reasonable compensation. Then, if he or she kept performing well, you would give him or her an appropriate raise. That's not the way it works anymore. These days, things have changed. Righty and Jim aren't just being taken seriously, their cry of, "Please pay us less for more work!" is being considered the Gospel Truth. At your expense. Don't believe me? Look at this: McDonald's can afford to triple their CEO's salary. Do you want lies with that? To be absolutely fair, McDonald's did raise the pay of regular workers, too: McDonald's raises pay for 90,000 workers but it feels like a token gesture at best and they are still saying they can't do more because they have no money...While the executives rake in huge raises. I know I sound like a broken record again because I've already said this a million times but I will say it again: We have to stop this! Giving tons more money to poorly performing executives isn't just bad business, it's criminal negligence. How do you feel about it as a stock holder? And most of you are McDonald's stock holders, even if you don't realize it because most of you have Mutual Funds in your 401K's and most of them hold at least a few shares. So you're being ripped off twice. Once because you have to subsidize a lot of McDonald's workers through food stamps and other forms of welfare and the second time as a share holder. It goes up to three times if you enjoy eating at McDonald's because if they keep going this way because they will either have to slash quality (Making you not want to eat there anymore) or go out of business entirely. The way they're closing stores, they might have already closed your favorite location. And that's not even taking taxes into consideration...The way you are supplying all the infrastructure they need at your expense because you can bet they are paying little to no taxes themselves. The way to stop this madness is stop Righty and Jim from having a say in anything. They are the problem. Whenever I do a post like this, people always ask, "Well, what's the solution?" Oftentimes, I don't have an answer but today, I do and it this: VOTE! FEEL THE BERN! Turn headlines like this, Americans Love Their Socialism: Bernie Sanders Voted The Most Popular Senator In The US, into votes and victories! February was an ice-cold month for McDonald's, with same-store sales dropping 4% in its troubled U.S. stores and 1.7% globally.

Come to think of it, I haven't been to a McDonald's in years. In fact, I haven't noticed any in my part of town.

I only go there because my kids like it. I have no idea WHY they like it. The Happy Meals I guess.

websitewithnoname It does seem to be in a lot of trouble...Until you look at their executive pay and then the pieces don't fit.

Well, I guess to some people it isn't...And look at what's happened since I wrote this post. The King Of Incompetents is now President of the US.

Interesting. Businesses have no idea how to treat people. Jobs are moving to other countries, and they can do just about what they want, and we will take it, because we need the job. And people wonder why others live off of the system. It is probably the easiest thing to do.

It's not just the easiest thing to do for many people, it's the only thing to do and even if they do manage to find a job, most likely they will still need welfare just to survive. The whole thing is insane.
