Going to see Rose / myLot

I am headed to Ohio to see my ill friend. She is off the vent again and in a regular room. I hope she stays that way. I truly hope I don't break down in front of her. Been crying off and on for days. Hopefully, I can start posting again real soon. Take care everyone!

Just read your response below and I think sometimes our grief is more for ourselves, more particularly if a person is old. Even if there is no chance of recovery, it is hard to let them go. I hope you have as nice a visit as can be expected.

Thanks we are having a nice visit. I am going back home tomorrow. She has improved and has gained 5 lbs!

You will need to be strong for your friend and do not break down in front of her, as you will make her feel worse. Good Luck and hope she is responding better when you see her.

I am trying to get my crying out before I see her. I am starting to think that with loss, when we cry we are crying more for ourselves than them. But I also think I am sad because of her suffering, but I know a lot of it is because she will not be long for this world and I cannot imagine my life without her friendship.
